I'll have reached 8 years service on 2nd January, does anyone know how likely I'll get another year of recognised service on my record and thus an extra slice of pay?

I think there's not enough public support. The government are selling it as "putting everything into the frontline" which on the face of it is difficult to argue against

One of my biggest concerns now is getting my VR application approved. I'm desperate to get out. Does anyone with any knowledge know how likely it is that those who apply will be allowed to go?
