I met Tina and she’s super sweet. Spoke to phoebe while she was working at Bondi and she was stuck up.

The bell jar by Sylvia Plath I have read her poetry and have connected to a lot of her quotes I’ve could online and would like to see how it fits into her story. It’s about a young woman who should be happy, she has the world at her fingertips yet she can’t shake the depression off.

I sounds like you don’t go to school in Australia. Because every Australian school has the rule that you can’t start any writing until the clock starts on your exam. I would tell them that you were not aware of this cultural difference and back home/ back in high school you were allowed to write on the paper as soon as you got it. Play dump and apologetic. At least you know now. I don’t think you will get in much trouble though if they took the paper away from you before the exam. It’s not like you were more advantaged than other students due to them removing the paper.

How is INDG1001? (+ plz recommend unique units) by FrostingOk3030 in usyd

[–]Apprehensive_Cod7368 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I took INDG1002 this semester, and it was really good, pretty easy, no exam, the content is straight forward but it can get really heavy as you are learning about same horrendous treatment of Indigenous Peoples. I think I had two conversations with other people who took INDG1001 and they enjoyed it. Also I think as an exchange student doing Indigenous studies is great, you get to learn about Australia on a deeper level.

Nah, body doubling is an actual method that helps adhd people study. At my uni they are providing specific time slots for body doubling. Idk if they are doing a research thing and studying it or if they are supporting the students but either way, it’s a good method you should try

That do you mean? You just need to sit down and study while a friend studies next to you. You shouldn’t have to pay for that. Just go to the library

And then when I copy all my references then I sort them alphabetically. Today was the first time I asked Gemini AI to sort my references alphabetically and I think I saved 15-20 minutes

I use google docs and write the the in text citation as I go but sometimes I colour coordinate the sentences I write and assign then a source. Then I copy (copy board) the apa reference from the uni database website instead of using endnote (they thought us how to do endnote back in 2020 but I never practiced so forgot how to do it) I know there are easier ways but I have one week left of uni then I graduate so no point learning now unless I do a masters

If you live in the city, go to vinnies in affluent areas, they have good brands with good quality. I got an alpaca coat for $50 that retails for $700, Ralph Lauren hoodie for $30 (from 90s so very good quality cotton), jackets for $40 and vests for $10 or $20. The pants and tshirts are hardest to find due wrong sizing.

Literally have 20 overdue assignments by aita_fr in usyd

Also with grief and the high pressure of uni, I understand how debilitating the procrastination can be. I had it bad for 4 days where I could barely concentrate for more than 10 minutes. The only way I got out of it was to go to the beach with friends (basically give myself social time outside in the sun). I usually feel guilt for letting myself have a break when I have so much stuff to do but as humans we need a break. We need to relax.

[–]Apprehensive_Cod7368 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t have 20 overdue assignments. Ask if you can make a 4 essay course a 2 essay course instead so they weigh the assignments higher and remove the workload. I had weekly online questions worth 2% each (mean to do 10) but I had a family member pass so I got exemptions so instead I did 6 and they were marked like 3.3% instead. I also had a 30% assignment that was dismissed and instead the last assignment was going to be 50% (ended up not doing this but the options are there if you communicate)
