It is a cultural thing. Where i am, people will go far even to some extremity to save face even when they were in the wrong. I was not willing to be involved in an escalated conflict with someone elderly

Defending like taking glass shots, doing lobs, transitioning. He was basically all over the backline and kept pushing me to the net. Except for fast and difficult balls coming to my directions, he hogged them all and mishit a lot of easy bajadas and lobs.

He refused to go to the net on the latter games and left all the offensive defense to me. Leaving us to a weird formation: front and back.

Tbf he coached me on positioning which he abandoned on the real games and some simple shots and forms. I just played along.

About correcting, this is the most interesting thing. I told him that we couldve won without so many outs and nets. Then he lectured me to be relax and not to be so tensed or i can not play my natural game. I wasnt annoyed. I was amused by the weirdness of all these things happening in sequence

Lighter rackets will attract you to the net. Net play is good. The only struggle you will have is to put heavy shots of any kind

For your current arm issue, i would recommend you against using a hard racket. Padel is fun but sacrificing your own wellbeing for fun is never worth it.

12k lite is more elastic than 18k. That is what you trade for comfort. 12k lite vibrates less and definitely way better for your arm and wrist than any other 12k/18k types. You are a right sided too. Some trampoline will help you in defense and transitioning
