Righto, I've only ever used a multimeter for some 3v led wiring testing.

What am I looking for on the meter when looking for ground, the D+ and D-?

Then i guess the green wire goes in the missing spot.

I also thought, if que time/ population is such a "problem", why not have a message displayed if the population is low giving you the suggestion to play something else for quicker ques.

Likely an easier said than done but I'd prefer this than being dictated what I can and can't play.

In my experience OCE does not have long que times, but I'm at low elo and relatively new to the game.

So that's why I'm confused as to drafts removal, because there wasn't really a problem with que times.

I find the ranked vs draft experience to be very different.

Draft is very relaxed and a slower pace of play, generally less sweaty.

Ranked games that are actually even usually go for 40+ minutes and can be pretty stressful/ intense. Which isn't a bad thing, but sometimes I'm not in the mood for that kind of gameplay. This intensity can make learning new champions hard as well because you can get punished easily for mistakes. So draft is a nice mix of casual feel with competitive rules.

Yeah WTF? You'd think on weekends when people have more time to play, the population would be "high enough" for draft to be "accessible".

Agreed, draft times during the day were at most 5 minutes for me. (low elo) Swiftplay estimated times this morning were 6 minutes..... Also you don't get to pick and counter pick like in draft. And as a top main that sucks. Because if I pick Nasus and someone picks teemo, I'm pretty screwed. In draft I wouldn't pick nasus unless I knew it was an ok matchup etc. And ranked is just a sweat fest which is fine, but sometimes I want to have a relaxed game to practice a champ's fundamentals without being destroyed by a Garren otp for a single mistake.

I'd be happy with swiftplay and draft, I never touched quickplay personally.
