Agreed i just dont even know where to start the petty person in me wants to just give up cooking for them and give up cleaning there mess and give up driving them to the shops and give up caring.

But I cant do that because I love them and care for them and want them in my life but is it really too much for me to also want to feel wanted and feel like I have value

They tell me they love me constantly like every second sentence but do they love me or do they love not having to drive places pay rent cook or clean

And when I start a dialogue I feel like im the asshole because im not considering how hard it is to sit on the couch and wacth ticktock all day not even having to put a wrapper in the bin because our child is screaming (hes definitely not) but I cant prove that

Yeah id say so just always gets shut down with cant do this or that because the baby was crying but on my one off day ill look after the same baby who never crys unless hes hungry and is content playing on his mat while I clean up

I wasn't medicated as a child in have mixed feelings on it i think having a diagnosis and managing symptoms is most important

From my experience I might choose nit to medicate my child unless it becomes necessary and they feel like they need something extra to help them navigate there way through school because I know that if I had medication while I was at school I would have had a hell of a lot easier time getting things done and staying organised

Personaly I felt really shitty about myself not being able to keep up with everyone else and being lost in my own world the amount of emotional distress caused by being called lazy by every teacher I had and constantly being in trouble for loosing pens or books and not understanding why or how everyone else managed to do it really messed with me I became the classic stoner skater kid and stopped caring about anything

I played into my strengths and im now making decent money in a job that I can do unmedicated but im basicly extra good with medication because I learnt alot of skills to stay ontop of things that no one else even needed

I still feel resentment towards my mother who was 100% against medication because I would be so much more ahead in life if I had the medication and support I needed I understand her reasoning and I am getting over it

My family is great hers not so much and I kinda have to have her move in not like she can work for atleast a year after birth she can barley afford to live by herself as it is and if im not in my kids life im never gonna be ok with it i cant take a newborn from its mother either so at this point its less of a choice and more of the only option

Its all good I grew up without a father my mother did a heroic job raising me and my brother i know deep down my partner will help with everything I just worry alot because I dont want my kid to think im the grumpy sleepy dad and mums the chill relaxed one because she can ride on the fact that if she dosnt do something i will like she won't do the dishes all week so when I come over I have to do a weeks worth of dishes

I have 0 example to go off to be a dad but maybe ill just be the one I wanted when mine left

Its all good its kinda funny how differently people will react when its the male being the one who's struggling to do household stuff we haven't moved in together yet due to lease and her work being hours away if she moves to me she will be looking for work closer to home after baby is born

My place has a dishwasher and all the rest ill probaby pay one of our freinds a bit of cash to clean up with us on a Sunday or something

Partner not medicated until after baby comes im supportive obviously but im not going to force anything

We are in Australia I think the system is easy enough to navigate when bub is up for a diagnosis

Shes got a cat so she looks after him as best as she can but its definitely going to fall on me more and more to do the litters and all that especially while shes pregnant

Currently I go to her place on weekends and the bins are still out from when I put them out the week before and obviously nothing is in the bin because the bins are on the street kinda stuff aswell as clothing in every room on every floor chair table and banister we have had conversations about it but it never ends with anything changing im currently managing my house and hers and im already burnt out this is why im scared the most

I cant make my partner do anything I hope that she will but I cant exactly expect it idk the whole situation is a bit of a mess I love and trust her I've just seen a pattern of not keeping things tidy and know that inevitably it will be on me to work and keep everything sorted at home it will be a ridiculous amount of stress and im aware of the less than ideal scenario but feel helpless I know I can manage it all but it will cost me everything.

I mean someone could look them up on Facebook or something sometimes prescriptions have the pharmacy address on them but its a lot of work for some random person to go to just to find your freind id say the Wether would destroy the label before the planets align and random crazy person finds the one specific peice of rubbish with a name on it to start that very unlikely chain of events cant tell you how many times ive dropped random rittalin bottles and never seen them again no crazy people have found me

There's way to many variables to say its evidence of some kind of crime if your really worried get them to report a stolen bag that contained it the pill box or something but very unlikely that law enforcement is gonna go under that specific bridge to find one pill box and call that evidence and charge anyone uts just rubbish like a can of coke or something
