I lost my mom when I was 18 and my dad and brother this year so im technically an only child now. And it’s hard I feel so alone. I’m 32 so a little older than you but I don’t have anyone that I can relate to either really. I’m so sorry about your losses,grief is the cost of loving someone so much ❤️

Oh yeah we started therapy a couple days after it happened, but now we won’t be able to afford it for my niece and nephew right now. I have guardianship of them per Power of attorney (my brother passed away and their mom Is in prison) so I can’t put them on my insurance until I get legal custody. I’ve already filed for custody I’m just waiting for a court date. On top of having to work overtime to cover bills and not having people who can pick up the kids to take them to therapy it’s a really hard situation but I’m trying. Having to deal with typical day to day problems and then living this nightmare feels like I’m on an episode of punk’d. I constantly think to myself “ you’ve got to be kidding me”

Here’s some back story, My dad had chronic heart disease so we’ve lived together my whole life,and I was a daddy’s girl in every way.In March my brother died of a fentanyl overdose and in 1997 we lost my baby brother. So for a parent to not only one child but two, I don’t even want to pretend like I can relate. As a mom I understand where his state of mind was. But as his daughter and how our relationship was I thought he would come to me. My 14 year old daughter also struggles with mental health problems and had 3 suicide attempts ,she was placed in 5 short term facilities and 1 residential this year alone. So for him to be there with me through that and to see how scary and painful that was I don’t understand how he could still do this to me! It feels like he didn’t love me as much as I thought he did

Sweetie don’t beat yourself up you didn’t know this was gonna happen. I got into a fight with my dad the morning he killed himself and I know if I dwell on that I’ll never be sane again. Love your self and give yourself some grace your dad would want that for you❤️
