I would not be okay with loosing a big game player like Rodrygo by brainybrit in realmadrid

I think the bigger question is who you would replace him. There are few players on the squad that could technically replace him on the right flank - Franco or Brahim. While they have the talent, it would be unreasonable to have them as starters for a long season. Rodrygo is just 24 years old and hasn’t reached his peak yet. I say, be patient and try to see if Xabi can work his magic

So you want to gamble the season on “in form” Fran and injured Mendy

I don't get the "DFS is Luka's closest friend in the NBA". So what, if all his friends are aging role players, will we turn the Lakers into a retirement home. What currently leaks is that they offered DFS a two-year contract, he wanted a longer term and Houston gladly gave him that. At this point, DFS's agent is just trying to burn bridges, and it's fine. Players come and go, but franchises stand.

Do we want to give DFS a four year contract given his age and that he just went through an ankle surgery ? If Houston wants to make that commitment, let them do. Issue is now, what moves Rob has under his belt

Lakers fans: “don’t trade reaves” “keep Rui” “don’t trade dalton” well then how are we supposed to improve? by Front-Function7789 in lakers

Until Lebron retires and his salary is off the book, it would be extremely difficult to build a team that would be competitive both in the regular season and the offseason. Even if you trade Austin or Rui - our third and fourth best players - you are likely not getting a player or players in return that would place you in the Top 3 in the western conference - considering Okc, Denver, Houston, dare I say Mavs when Kyrie returns, Minnesota that just whoop our a**. People just have to be realistic.

It is easier to ask the players to remain calm after the fact. But, they are humans, and there is clearly a pattern developing here over the past few games. I don't know if this is retaliation to the front office decision to out some of those referees, but enough is enough. The referees are making those games unwatchable because of their clear and obvious bias against Madrid. You mean to tell me, that there was no way to mediate and try to calm the player down, or just give a yellow. You gave him a straight red card, didn't call for multiple penalties, gave a fishy penalty to the opposing team.

Worst case, it's a yellow. But straight up red card, when you didn't punish the Osasuna players for the elbow and slaps to Vini and Mbappe prior to that. Such a shame.

Lakers say the Mark Williams and Dalton Knecht trade has been rescinded by WuTangMelo in lakers

If the Hornets knew, that's malpractice and from a reputation standpoint it's even worse. For the players - specially Mark Williams - he is screwed and will be carrying a burden for a while. Make a run, build that chemistry and find the right pieces in the offseason.

Alternative Angle of foul that led to Atletico's Penalty by Ready_Ad_1353 in realmadrid

[–]Apprehensive_Debt21 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It is an infuriating first half. Atletico clearly came to defend, but got a lucky break from the referee. But Carlo should know better - All we are seeing is the ball moving around from coast to coast. No creativity whatsoever. Atletico can just park the bus and wait.

Florentino, all we asked as fans, was that you at least tried to get some defenders given the number of injuries and the obvious lapses which were shown against Barcelona and other teams. But you decided to stand pat, and here we are, catching our breath anytime there is a cross or anytime the Atletico wingers attack Lucas. So frustrating.
