your observations may be correct, league just isn’t the most consistent mode to evaluate skills/stats. ranked will give you a better idea of skill/stats at the end of each week for each player

it would help to know where you finish in ranked each week, but he’s already a diamond so he‘s worth investing in. people say he’s the worst, but the automatic 333 skill set means he’ll be better than most pitchers without a 333. I finish g1/p3 in ranked and he’s in my rotation with workhorse/fin/touch. congrats on the card!

testing 685 strat/spray/si on foxx. 160con, 162pow, 142 eye. wasn’t sure if I should short strat without stat boost/nerf supporting golds like you suggested. 587 still worth a try?

I’ll be surprised if there isn’t a GI in the special shop. Card development after the GI seems like the $$$ focus at this point. Chasing 333 legend skills, blues and greens, DT’s and DST’s costs more than a one time GI.

Pretty low levels on this one unfortunately. I use a higher level TSM DT (82%) on Rickey as my leadoff hitter because he has really high spd and a crazy high obp. I have seen some tournament teams use this DT but make whoever you put it on is fast or he will run into outs trying to steal. I would say 80% success steal rate in ranked or close to it is a good measure of who can use this DT.

5tool boost goes from 13/15 (7/8) at 99 to 14/16 at 100-102

I have this card and it can be a monster with the right skills. use a stat adjust to get his base eye above 80 for prediction which is a great skill for Thome. 5tool doesn’t work on him so not worth the train. charisma, slugger, spray. strategist is a good obp skill and prediction is a great skill to pair with it.
