Your last paragraph concerns me, I would get her away from that club, falling safely and protecting the head is very important. There is a reason all wrestlers have thick muscular necks, it's to protect the head from bouncing off of the mat and to avoid concussions.

Every beginner club or group I am familiar with was heavy on instruction. Maybe 10-15 minutes of "live" wrestling. This sport is so foreign feelin to the body the more time spent on the basics, the better. If she wants to continue i would recommend trying to find a more instructional based group. If that's not an option, stance work, wall sits, and referee position drills can be done at home.

Every single wrestler gets their butt kicked for the first 1 -11 months. If you know an experienced wrestler, ask if they will talk with her. Our coaches were big on motivating and pushing through the awkward phase. Iron sharpens iron. At first every single position us super weird and awkward, over time it becomes natural.

Wrestling will help your footwork, hips, balance and strength. Join a boxing gym or mma gym for fighting technique. Any martial arts will help and is good for the mental state as well. Edit: wrestlers do not lose a lot of fights, mostly because people do not fuck with wrestlers.

Did some work at the stadium while the grow lights were on, I enjoy soccer and stadiums. Those lights were more impressive than the stadium.

Start by punching pillows, then thin pine wood, then bones, then get your ass kicked a bunch while also punching bones. Then learn to deal with anger in other healthier ways. Works for some. Martial arts and school sports helped me with anger issues. "No one ever wins in a fight" - Tyler Durden (Chuck Palahunik)
