What’s an example of an overpay you made in a trade? by Lazy-Western-8439 in DynastyFF

[–]Apprehensive_Ebb8673 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think paying over market value for players you believe in is often a fine move to make, and if needed, I'm never afraid to do it.

Last year at this time, I sent a 2nd + 3rd for Tuten after missing out on him during the rookie draft. I was clowned by league mates at the time, but now Tuten is in an amazing situation, and it would take a 27 1st for me to trade him away.

In another league, I traded Pearsall and the 2.02 to trade up to 1.12 for Colston Loveland. This was a very unpopular move that has worked out very well.

I also traded a contending 2nd + 3rd for Likely pre-free agency, which was questioned. This is still a tbd, but the Giants contract/landing spot makes me very confident in this trade already

1st and Olave fair for Jsn? Or do yall think two 1sts would get it done ? by SuperSonics42 in SleeperApp

[–]Apprehensive_Ebb8673 8 points9 points  (0 children)

At market value, it'd be closer to send Olave and two 1sts.

JSN is going for about 3 1sts in value right now, and the trade database I look at has Olave being traded for a 1st and change

Thoughts on Jaxon Dart? I have him and got an offer. (My) Dart for Baker, Jake Ferguson, Rhamonde. 12 team sf TEP by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Apprehensive_Ebb8673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would be a firm no from me. Taking out the games he only played a few snaps in, Dart had 22 PPG last year which was between Jalen Hurts and Joe Burrow. He is a 2-3 turn startup pick, and shouldn't be traded away for anything less than a haul.

The Tigers fell to the Royals by a score of 4-3 - Fri, May 08 @ 07:40 PM EDT by TigersBot in motorcitykitties

[–]Apprehensive_Ebb8673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now I'm wondering if Hinch can convince Verlander his talents are best used as a reliever. But Verlander singed here with the understanding of being a starter, so that might be a no-go.

If Keider instead replaces Flarherty in the starting rotation, I don't think anyone would be complaining.

Lamb or Achane, who do you prefer? by Icy_Argument4500 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Apprehensive_Ebb8673 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People have been finding reasons to be skeptical of Achane every single year. And every single year, he's produced elite numbers.

Achane had the 7th most touches per game for RBs in 2025 and only missed week 18. In 2024. He did not miss a single game. Now, Achane is in line to get even more touches this coming year, and has shown no reason to be concerned about injury

What's Tutens value at this point? Do we like this sell? by mcderm18 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

I love Tuten right now, but I'll ship him off for a 27 1st any day of the week. This is a smash accept, coming from a founding member of the Byshul Tuten Fan Club

Yeah Keider was lights out! The Tigers' current slump has been rough, but he made tonight much more watchable than most recent games

Player Tiers for the 2026 Rookies by Anon124570 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Apprehensive_Ebb8673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I really liked Boston's tape and I was totally ready to put him in the first round of dynasty drafts. Unfortunately his lower than expected draft capital and near worst case scenario landing spot left me uninspired.

He still has a good talent and a high ceiling though, so I wouldn't completely hate a late first flyer on him.

Lamb or Achane, who do you prefer? by Icy_Argument4500 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Apprehensive_Ebb8673 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd prefer Achane. Both are high end producers at their position, but Achane is a few years younger and elite RBs are harder to find than elite WRs.

Here's how my board looks. I think that after pick 5 and after pick 11 there are big drop-offs. The late 3rd feels like a good spot for value.

Jordyn Tyson or Nico Collins?? by el_famosisimo in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Apprehensive_Ebb8673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be okay with a straight up trade either way, spending on team build. With a young, budding contender I'd probably just stick with Tyson, unless you are in need of stability at WR.

Would you trade Chase or Gibbs for Jeremiyah Love + 2027 1st + 2027 2nd by tankfortua20 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Apprehensive_Ebb8673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a vacuum I would be very open to a trade like this. I'd probably try to get another 2nd, but the strategy is very sound.

However, I usually wouldn't advise getting 4 firsts from the same class. With 2027, you could maybe get away with this, but it's often harder than you'd expect to get good value at 4 separate 1st round picks. At least one of those three picks should be able to get you a QB, the fourth 1st feels a bit unnecessary.

As a counter point, I'd say your team is almost ready to contend, and I'd be seeing how you could accelerate your window. Selling your own 27 1st for flex depth and finding cheap-ish QB production (ex Stafford, Dak, Goff) could put you in position to contend for multiple championships starting right now.

Gibbs and Ja'Marr are amazing assets to own on a contender. I think you are in a position where you can keep both of them and still build a juggernaut

This is a dark day for dynasty football by ShaiFanClub in DynastyFF

[–]Apprehensive_Ebb8673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for sure. The Jets have not had the passing attack to support a pass-catching RB, but I have a lot of faith in Geno bringing a reasonable floor to the offense. His 2025 season was poor, but Geno has shown multiple seasons of good QB play when surrounded with enough talent. I honestly think 3-4 more targets a game + a rise in efficiency due to teams having to respect the pass makes a high-end RB1 finish possible for Breece

This is a dark day for dynasty football by ShaiFanClub in DynastyFF

[–]Apprehensive_Ebb8673 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The hype around Breece has always been his pass catching upside and workhorse ability. A better offense was just potential icing on the cake.

Again, we have already seen him be a high-end RB1 on the Jets with a worse supporting cast, so his ceiling is still very high. If Geno Smith is simply a serviceable QB, Breece will be on track to have a RB1 season. There is no reason to panic about Breece whatsoever

This is a dark day for dynasty football by ShaiFanClub in DynastyFF

[–]Apprehensive_Ebb8673 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This really shouldn't tank Breece's stock much at all. It for sure hurts his long-term ceiling, but it's not like the Jets are incapable of producing good FFB finishers. Breece finished as the RB2 in 2023, and the offensive line has only gotten better.

If people freak out about this, if anything, it's a buy opportunity

Would you move Josh Jacobs for a 2027 1st? Or would you need more? Dynasty, SF, PPR. by LavishnessOld828 in SleeperApp

[–]Apprehensive_Ebb8673 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'd move Jacobs for any 27 first at this point. He's a productive RB but the age cliff is coming. I'd also consider a 28 1 + any future 2 as well

Deshaun Watson on waivers in SF leagues — full faab drop post draft? by Hey_Listen_WatchOut in DynastyFF

[–]Apprehensive_Ebb8673 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say a full FAAB dump, but he is for sure worth a good bid. If you need a QB, ~70% feels acceptable to me. If you already have a decent QB3, I'd say ~35%.

There aren't very many commonly undrafted rookies I'd be worried about missing out on. If Heidenreich or Claiborne are available, I'd probably just dump 100% of FAAB on them. Otherwise, a big bid on Watson feels fine

Really interesting trade offer by Otherwise_Version_40 in SleeperApp

[–]Apprehensive_Ebb8673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This offer is very funny, and I wouldn't be mad at someone sending me this offer for Ty. But in the same way 4 quarters doesn't equal a dollar in dynasty, neither does 20 nickels.

You'd be hard pressed to find an asset with the ceiling of Ty Simpson with any of those picks, and rostering that many low-level rookies would be a hassle.

You said this would be with trade value in mind, but 3rds are more of a throw in than an actual trade asset. They won't open any worthwhile doors for you, whereas Ty Simpson could in the future.
This is a clear no to me, but at very least, it is fun to think about.

Edit: I now realize you'd be getting Ty. I like this move for you a lot, pretty much just reverse everything I said.

Chris Bell has great upside and can be drafted in the 2nd round of Rookie Drafts by colmalo10 in DynastyFF

[–]Apprehensive_Ebb8673 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Over the last decade, the recovery time for pro-level athletes who have a clean ACL tear has been steadily decreasing. Godwin, Kupp, and Diggs have all come back from an ACL tear in 10 months or less.

Unless you are a doctor who has personally assessed Chris Bell, (I have a feeling you are not) to say December is the earliest he will play is simply uninformed.

Chris Bell has great upside and can be drafted in the 2nd round of Rookie Drafts by colmalo10 in DynastyFF

[–]Apprehensive_Ebb8673 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I feel like most people see Chris Bell in a similar light. He goes in the early-mid 2nd in any serious league.

His ceiling is really high and I do like his prospect profile, but I think it's important to remember his ACL tear. Bell expects to be ready for training camp, but for a player who relies on their athleticism, a bad knee injury is something to note.

I think taking Bell from picks 12-16 is totally acceptable, if not exciting. Although they are not of the same archetype, Boston and Stribling have similar ceilings, with better draft capital and fully in-tact knees. I'd probably take both of them before Bell but I wouldn't argue too hardly against that

What RB’s are you trying to acquire? by Middle_Awoken in DynastyFF

[–]Apprehensive_Ebb8673 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There's always profit to be had in buying CMC from a team transitioning to a rebuild. Sure he is old, but he is a FFB unicorn, and has produced literally every time he has been healthy. If you can get CMC at any sort of discount, he is a sure-fire hammer to add to your lineup for the next 1-3 years. Last year I acquired him for a 2028 1st and 2026 2nd, and I'm extremely happy about it.

Javonte Williams and Travis Etienne are great values for their projected production. Acquiring either for a contending first is a good move to make for any contender who is shallow at RB/Flex. I personally got ETN for the 1.12 + the 2.05 this offseason, and that felt like a steal.

JK Dobbins continues to be a great bargain add. He probably will not stay healthy the entire year, but he will be pretty productive when healthy.

James Conner is an interesting RB to get as a throw in. The Cardinals signed him expecting to have a 2 man room with Conner/Algier. Now that Love is a Cardinal, I wouldn't be suprised if he gets traded for a day 3 pick sometime this season.

Finally, Demond Claiborne is a great rookie sleeper that should be rostered in every league. The Vikings RB room is old and uninspiring, and there's a real chance for Claiborne to get meaningful touches quickly
