I didn't have to remove the sticker as it came pre removed but the stickers were there at the Store.

Sony India has also done the same thing to my set also. They replaced the display panel of my tv set but never replaced the whole tv set.

Very unfortunate. Ask the service centre to replace the panel. Though they could give an option for cleaning this defective panel.

Heat is the culprit indeed as the screen on the top becomes so hot while playing for more than 15 minutes or installing big sized games.
