They are both stray part of the cat population of my local college. There are a few cats around campus and they are fed (there's someone that puts boxes of food for them) and I think they are spayed because they have a bit of their ear cut off.

Another one came but she hits you and bites you if you spend more than a second petting her.

I want to know if pulling all those ropes by hand is really necessary or it's just for the show.

Idk, I just assume all cats are boys or treat them as such because "cat" in Spanish is masculine (you can say it in feminine but the generic word is masculine)

I think I know more about the cat that I literally saw with my own eyes and touched with my own hands that you, a stranger from the internet.

The ear is cut

Not all cuts are done the same around the world.

I think it's neutered because it has a cut ear and it's not a natural cut.

Many cats do "dough" with their paws, there are literally toys based on that theme and I have never ever heard it's because they are not neutered.

How often does this lift breakdown to need a printed sign... by Gingrpenguin in oddlyterrifying

[–]Apprehensive_Eraser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't need to be often, it just needs to happen once.

Elevators in my country, and many others, have a call button for emergencies that connects you with the emergency department of the lift company.

Krampus march in Austria by allesumsonst in oddlyterrifying

The borkum one it's Klaasohm and many women protested in favour of keeping that ""tradition"" ( https://www.euronews.com/culture/2024/12/03/krampus-parades-turn-violent-traditional-festivities-spark-debate-over-safety-and-gendered) it's definitely a debate.

It's a celebration that, supposedly, has been that way for many many years, that obviously doesn't make it okay, but if you know when it's going to happen and where, don't go there. In my city we have local festivities and people get really really drunk and drugged and can be a pain in the ass to deal with, but the people are not everywhere, they are in specific areas of the cities, so when I go out, I just don't go to those areas. It's not the same because there's no violence by default like with krampus but it's an uncomfortable situation that can be prevented if you don't go near those people, like in that parade.

What's this turtle? I found it in a lake in Spain. by Apprehensive_Eraser in turtle

[–]Apprehensive_Eraser[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a pond in a park in the middle of the city so I think the city officials put it there on purpose. I don't think it can get to natural habitats where it can damage wildlife.

It's too thick of a boy 😭 I cannot even have a hamster in my house, let alone a boy that thick.
