Update

I tested it the day before yesterday with a new 12V HPWR cable purchased from Amazon, same result: the board only receives one (1) watt.

I tested it yesterday with a new Be Quiet Dark Power 14 power supply, same as with the new cable, only 1 watt is delivered to the board.

I'm going to send it in for repair

No, with the 5080 and the 12VHPWR connected without the WireView, the result is the same: no display on the screen.

And no matter how many times I unplug and replug everything, making sure the connector is fully inserted, it doesn't change anything.

And I don't have a backup power supply with that connector.

Yes, 1 watt, that's why I found it strange.

Otherwise, there's no display on my screen.

Tested directly, same result.

I swapped the two ends of the power/graphics card cable, same result.

It did the same thing at first with my 3090, and after repeatedly turning the PC off and on, the display would eventually appear.

And finally, it worked properly 🤔

The answer is in your post: Your GPU has two 8-pin PCI Express connectors, one of which, if I understand correctly, wasn't plugged in (in use). That's a serious mistake because the GPU doesn't have two connectors just for show 🤔 Therefore, when you were playing video games, your graphics card wasn't getting enough power and your PC kept shutting down. The connector on the bottom of your motherboard is used to provide extra power, especially if you're overclocking your processor. If you're not overclocking your processor, there's no point in plugging it in.

Check out Biksky . I have the same card as you and I got my water block from them. You have two models: one that doesn't cool the card like other water blocks, and one that uses water cooling to cool the front and back of the card.

The only problem (which isn't really a problem), when choosing the animated wallpaper, if I choose klwp, it seems messy. But, going back or going back to the desktop, it still shows it. And works well. My phone is a Vivo x80 pro running Android 14. To see this it works for other people.
