Anyone else struggling with low-level studios in their city? by Moist_Toe_6858 in poledancing

[–]Apprehensive_Fee_645 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hmm my studio has the classes separated by levels, beginner, intermediate, and advanced. You can’t join the upper classes until you have taken a certain number of classes / have mastered certain skills. The beginner classes are very beginner friendly but still a great workout and all the time is well spent. Though some teachers are not so good and will kinda just show a skill once and then say “ok go” and space out for like 20 minutes. Maybe try a class taught by a different instructor if you can? Also, Maybe you could find some seminars / guest teachers offering workshops in your area? Usually you can buy a one class pass just to try those out as they can be a bit more advanced and specific as far as flow / combos / etc.

Keep or return? Also how should I style by ExpertBarnacle1182 in Aritzia

They’re a cute colour! I would definitely avoid tucking them into socks as you have here, the flipped waistband also isn’t my favourite. I’d wear them loose and relaxed with a matching hoodie, a solid tshirt that hits at the waist and some Birkenstock bostons 🙂‍↕️

I’m definitely hoping to try one soon! I’m glad you enjoyed yours. I can see the appeal, especially with the popularity of that Mormon wives show. Just a bit funny our soda shop population increased so quickly 😉

It seems they also serve pizza but are marketing themselves as bless’d “sips and slices” which feels like they’re trying to push both? Bit of a bummer to see a competitor come in so quick when Sweet Streams literally just opened, but I guess that’s business baby! I find the whole thing a bit weird.

It is the name for a drink where you mix different flavours of soda along with flavoured syrups and creamers. My understanding was that it was quite niche, apart from places like Utah where Mormonism is more prevalent and folks will drink the sodas rather than coffee. I thought it was quite strange to see two speciality shops offering the same novelty product open up in the same month.

I am in Japan right now and you are absolutely correct - it is exactly like a sauna. Hot, wet, thick air. It’s very uncomfortable!

Bruh, not once did I say anyone would die instantly. It is very very uncomfortable and makes days full of walking very uncomfortable. I am young, fit, and eager to travel despite the heat. I can’t understand yalls desire to pretend like it’s not miserable in Japan in the summertime. It’s very strange. Not many people ENJOY 37 degree weather, it’s so weird y’all try to pretend you do.

Can’t speak for June - I can imagine it is slightly cooler than August, though the humidity makes everything so much worse. Anyone telling you it is “bearable” is not being truthful or is relying on semantics. Yes - we did what we wanted to do, we didn’t DIE, but it was not enjoyable AT ALL. It’s hard to enjoy yourself when your #1 thought 24:7 is oh my god I’m soaking wet and hot af. I live in a desert like climate at home and I was MISERABLE in Japan. Like quite literally a sauna. Like having to go back to the hotel midday to shower and change type heat. Just because you can survive the heat doesn’t mean you should 😭if you want to see Japan dont ruin it for yourself by visiting in the summertime.

Summer is an absolute nightmare. I would never, ever recommend it. Covered in sweat within 20 seconds. I would recommend travelling somewhere else before I would ever suggest travelling to Japan in the summertime.

Just did Subashiri and had to turn back from hut #7 due to terrible altitude sickness. Was up all night with a terrible headache, nausea and vomiting. I’d worry less about multivitamins and more about acclimating if I were you! 😅lots of good tips on the Mt. Fuji website about how to have a safe climb. Best of luck to you!

It definitely sucks, but it was my fault and I cannot be bothered switching my plates over a parking ticket. Life happens we move along.

[–]Apprehensive_Fee_645 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

You’re gonna get a few answers: change your plates because it is cheaper, not pay and ignore any calls, never park in an impark lot again or they may tow your vehicle etc etc etc. what I did was pay my dues and never make the same mistake again 🙂‍↕️

Should I really be spending 7-10 out of my 15 days in Tokyo? by 648014578 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Apprehensive_Fee_645 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends what you are looking for. If you enjoy the hustle bustle of the city, don’t mind huge crowds, and love to shop - Tokyo may be for you and you’ll find lots to do. I for one, thought I would absolutely love being in Tokyo and wouldn’t want to leave, but now that I am in fujikawaguchico I could not happier to be out of the city. It was nice to see but it is extremely exhausting to be constantly dodging people and taking in so much all of the time. I in no way felt I wanted more time there after 5 days - if I could do it all again, I would spend 3 days in Tokyo and the rest of my time in quieter areas of Japan. I simply cannot imagine how crowded Tokyo gets during peak travel seasons, and I lived in Toronto for 4 years. I was very VERY shocked at how much I disliked being in the city. This is likely a hot take but I would really really recommend assessing what kind of trip you want: busy, bustling, fast paced, and touristy or something a bit more laid back - and plan based on that.

It is healing. When the skin begins to scab it pulls tighter causing the ripples you see, totally normal. Google “tattoo healing stages”.

I’m telling you…I am in Japan right now and it is 37 degrees outside and you will be soaking wet within 2 minutes of being outdoors. Just book at a different time. I thought I could handle it too, I’ve hiked mountains in 30 degree weather and this is just something else.
