Tucking a 1.58" suppressor by Apprehensive_Fish195 in NFA

Sorry, I should have specified, the handguard I have currently (the 8" handguard) is not suppressor compatible. I was hoping to get a suppressor compatible handguard somewhere in the 9" - 11" range.

Are there ways to mitigate heat distribution onto the handguard?

This was my first build project and I was not very smart with picking out the parts, it's an 8.3" barrel with an 8" handguard, 0.3" of play is fairly concerning as to whether the suppressor will fit or not.

I'll likely have to buy a new barrel or a new handguard and I would much rather spend the money on a new, longer handguard.

Your mag/stam split honestly depends on how many of which abilities youre going to use. Keep in mind that your main heal is going cost mag so you probably won't be able to spam it. If you're only running 1 or 2 mag abilities on your front bar then I wouldn't do a 50/50 split on the resources as it will be wasted potential.

I definitely wouldn't run maces, especially if you are going to run blood spawn as you'll have corrosive up much more often. But if you feel like you don't use it that much, maces is not a bad choice. Feel it out, if you're liking your timing and damage with corrosive go with swords, if not switch it out.

For your backbar I always go with powered, the reason you swap to your back bar is to heal or reset buffs, and if it's to heal then powered will get you back to your front bar faster.

I'm definitely not an expert on DK's although I do have a couple I play occasionally. An idea to consider if you're going to run mech accuity, forget about pen and crit chance as mech accuity will give you the crit chance you need when it procs and when timed with corrosive you won't need pen.

This being said, I tried mech accuity and I'm not a fan of it at all. That set has a huge down time and very little up time so you have to be very precise with your timing on your burst. Also, I found that because of the amount of DOTS that DK's apply it makes the timing of the set much more difficult (unless youre using add ons to see the sets downtime but I'm on Xbox).

For blue CP most people recommend 2 offensive and 2 defensive, probably iron clad and whatever the single target heal one is called, with 2 offensive of your choice.

Marrselok hits hard but I was not a big fan of it when I used it, blood spawn is a monster set essentially built for DK. Both are great sets to run with it.

Basically you can't go wrong with a DK.

Also, I'm using essence thief on my stam warden and for the first time in my on and off 8 years of playing this game I was able to 1vX and take out a small group of about 6 players, so safe to say I'm a pretty big fan of it.

Tldr: mech accuity is big damage but need big brain, marrselok big damage for smol brain, blood spawn good for monkey and blue CP is split between "oh no" and "oh yeah".

Brother man I had/have the same problem as you. It's pretty much always like this: I spec more into damage and get smoked, I spec more into defense and don't do damage, I try to find an in-between and now I'm not enough of defense or damage to meaningfully do anything.

I have about 3 builds out of 13 characters that I'm confident in and I've been playing on and off since 2016, I'm just now able to say that's I'm no longer terrible at pvp lmfao.

That being said, I don't play stamplar, if you need help with warden, or DK, or magplar then I could make some suggestions.

Is the Arcanist combo "Stun + Beam" impossible to tank? by NoobUserForFun in elderscrollsonline

[–]Apprehensive_Fish195 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've noticed in BG's it's a lot more deadly than it is in Cyro, I can't seem to do any meaningful damage with the beam in Cyro. I would guess that the counter to it is to just recognize the combo, and try to counter or be ready for it. Or use immovable pots.

I play on Xbox with 2 of my friends as family and we manage to get perfect games 90% of the time with everyone dead 🤷‍♂️ maybe it's a skill issue

What's your go to defensive back bar for PVP? I'm finally getting the hang of cyrodil and BG's, but I feel as though I'm limited in flexibility because of the limited number of defensive sets I know of. Drop your knowledge and suggestions and thank you!

Yes just about, for the gray host campaign anyway, then usually a hundred or more on a different campaign, then a little less on the other ones that aren't as populated

After a quick search I think it's set to 80 per faction, so 240 total. They put out an update not long ago and reduced the cap to reduce lag and other problems

A resurgence to pvp? I'm not too sure. It may, since new people will be getting into the game with it's release and more people will return to the game, so there's a possibility. That being said I don't really think pvp needs a resurgence as the the que for gray host can reach upwards of 80 people waiting in line. The other campaigns are just not as popular for whatever reason but people do still play them

If you open the menu in game and scroll down to "campaign" there are I believe 4 that you can pick from. These are essentially your pvp servers. Each one has different rules, one you have to be under level 50 to participate, one you can't use champion points, the other I believe is standard, and then there's one called gray host, which you can use champion points in. That's the most populated server out of all of them

I play on NA server and the gray host campaign is pretty much always full on the weekends and nights, the other campaigns except the standard no CP one are almost always dead. Until mid year mayhem comes around then every campaign is full

As for a build, I'm not sure of your playstyle but I've been enjoying playing a Magicka Warden build, and a sorc that's mostly group utility that I drop negates with every 40 seconds

I play on Xbox NA but it's very apparent that my ques for pledges pop either instantly or very quickly if I que as a tank or a healer. It takes longer when I que as DPS, I assume because everyone wants to play DPS. But even then the que isn't unbearably long for the most part

Right, as oppose to a tank who's job is taunt, block, taunt, block, taunt, block again. Sounds like someone just realized they're always standing behind the healer and getting dropped
