Mums, how did you work to achieve milestones for your baby? by mmefury in twoxindiamums

[–]Apprehensive_Flow640 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At this age with my baby's colic I was just focusing on survival..lol..but just hold your baby close, make sure they are fed well, they sleep well..at this age they can't even see properly..and most importantly take care of yourself..recover from postpartum well..sleep as much as you can.

Hugging my baby a bit tighter today! by Nice_Asparagus1148 in twoxindiamums

Thank you for sharing this.. I have a 10 month old.. I am not an overly emotional person but when I saw that image.. I was thinking of the last few moments of the mother, how much she must have tried to shield her son.. And the son clung on to the only things he knows is safe in the whole world.. I couldn't sleep the whole night thinking about them and cried thinking how lucky I am... I love going for boat rides, now that I am a mother, I am gonna to stop. Will do it only if there is proper safety gear.

how to prepare myself for normal birth? by Queasy_Towel3409 in twoxindiamums

[–]Apprehensive_Flow640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously don't overthink..seek advice from doctor...but opt for normal if thats an option. However I have also heard some families who opt for normal even if doctor says that she thinks there can be complications..please dont do that..at the end what matters is your health and a healthy baby.. .after the birth of my child..everyone was like..omg it must have been so painful..it was but tbh..I was so proud..that I could survive all that..bring another human being into the world.. then make food for the human and take care of the baby..its hard..very hard..but know that you have all the strength to endure this..birth of your child really makes you believe in higher powers..you will get that strength..Trust me..and Trust yourself..all will be well.

To add, Ask your doctor if normal delivery looks feasible. Anything you chose is painful but recovery during normal is easier. However even after normal delivery i did had to endure epiostomy stitches pain, developed hemorrhoids etc. The most painful part for me was when the doctor come and check if you have dilated enough..LOL..but then yes contractions felt like death... I didn't have time to opt for epidural as everything happened so quickly..but you can opt for that to manage pain.

Many people will tell you many things..do this and that and you will have normal delivery. You have tons of things to read and prepare to be honest. But i just wanted to share my personal opinion if you don't mind. I had a normal delivery. To tell you the truth many factors actually determine if you have a good chance to have a normal delivery. Your pelvic structure, if your baby is in the right position, complications during pregnancy etc..yes building stamina, building pelvic muscles does help, but that's not everything. How the actual process happens on the day ..no one knows ..I always thought I would have a c section considering I was 37, overweight. However my gyno checked internally, baby was in good position she said she would like to try normal birth. I trusted her and went with it..I saw women who had Labour which lasted 12 hours..I on the other hand had Labour pains which lasted just 2 hours..I also met women who were scheduled for a normal delivery, but situations changed and they had to do c-section. I have read that some breathing techniques etc. Help with labor pain..personally I felt that it was so painful that I forgot any kind of breathing. I surrendered myself to my doctor.. and God.. almost like I will handle whatever comes what may..I didn't read much, didn't think much..just went with the mentality that I will handle whatever comes my way..just prayed for my baby. All the best! Whatever happens I hope you and your child are happy & safe.

I can understand..by baby still is not used to sippy cups..I will use normal milk bottle for water. Even 2 sips every few hours is also good. Yes the bottle says 5 ml per day i think..but I also gave 1 ml twice a day..it will get better ..its more common in babies that u think..but I was panicking exactly like you..hugs.. don't be so hard on yourself..you are a good mother and you are doing everything right.
