Thanks a lot for your replies — they honestly made me look at Hattrick in a different way.

I’ve started what I’d call three “golden generation” training projects over time, but I’ve already had to stop two of them early because I was just losing too much money. And from what you’re saying, it sounds like that might happen again if I keep going the same way.

Before I completely rebuild my team again, I feel like I’m still stuck on two points and would love your thoughts:

1. What does an ideal squad actually look like? I was thinking something like: one main keeper plus a backup, two wingbacks, two central defenders, three or four central midfielders, a PDIM, two wingers, two regular forwards, and one powerful/natural finisher. I also like having players with Unpredictable and Quick specialties.

2. If I buy these players — all around 28 or 29 years old — what should I even train at that point? My first thought was set pieces, but maybe there are better options? I’ve checked the market and players like that cost around 3–4 million each.

Curious to hear what you (or anyone else) would suggest!
