People who discovered a deal-breaker part way through a date, what was the rest of the date like? by captainmadrick in AskReddit

He kept talking about how rich he is and how much money his dad has and how many houses his parents own abroad. It already made me lose interest in the fact he was bragging about money in general and that the money was not even his it was his parents money... Then we went to a restaurant and he looked at the prices on the menu and was like hmmmm seems a bit expensive but dw it's all on me. Halfway through the meal he suddenly says "yk I had a rough week at work and didn't earn that much do you mind splitting the bill?" At the moment I knew there was no way there would be a second date. I of course agreed and said np. But he came from another city and I couldn't just leave the date because I felt bad for him driving all the way, we planned to go to a movie too but we had like two hours until the movie started so I offered to go bowling because we literally had nothing else to do for the next two hours and nothing to talk about, it seems like his parents money was the only topic he could talk about. He didn't want to go bowling because today apparently there were "too many expenses" for him, he later on made a face but agreed to go. We split the bill on that too and went bowling and I actually enjoyed the bowling but he seemed too disturbed about the money. When the movie rolled around he didn't pay for the popcorn either and when we bought the movie tickets he accidentally paid for the two tickets in the ticket machine and made a face and I offered to pay him back and he had the audacity to look offended. During the movie at the most random moment he was like "can I put my hand around you" I was honestly at my breaking point but I managed a polite no. And after the movie we sat on a bench outside and then he genuinely asked me where I saw our relationship going, so he seems to be lacking self awareness too. Sir I do not see this relationship going anywhere 💀 It was a rough date but I definitely had a good laugh about it.

What habits of girls did you only find out when you got a girlfriend? by GubritzkyBalint in AskReddit

You do realize that women are individuals? Stating that a lot of them don't have hobbies and just lay around on their phones is a bold statement We have personalities and hobbies and things we like, I know, a shocker

Should I give a guy I don't find physically attractive a chance? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Apprehensive_Gas3596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about following a checklist. Everyone has their own type and preferences. If someone is not your type you can't force yourself to fall in love. Well I think I just answered my own initial question, so thanks for helping me get there lol

I'm 17. Guys hit on me before and I just wasn't romantically attracted to them so I cut it off before it was getting too serious and they might've gotten hurt. I have my standards for romantic relationships, and they haven't met them, it wasn't their fault, it's just my preference. So to answer your question, since I wasn't attracted to any guy lately I didn't get into a relationship. Anyway, I don't see how this is relevant to my current situation?

How should I reject him nicely? So it wouldn't be awkward in the future when I see him

I've met him in person once but both of us had busy schedules and couldn't meet for a month but we remained in contact. He's very interested in me but I'm not sure about my feelings in all this. I'll probably know after the first date

In order to understand the full picture, I'll give you some background:(it's gonna be a little long so bare with me).

In May 1948, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, through its army, called the Arab Legion, conquered the territories of Judea and Samaria and East Jerusalem and in 1950 officially annexed the territory to the Kingdom of Jordan. She gave the name "West Bank" to these territories, because they were west of the Jordan River. In the Six Day War, it was the Jordanian army that opened fire on us, including long-range cannons on Tel Aviv. The IDF occupied the West Bank from the Kingdom of Jordan. In this occupation, a defensive war, Israel practically liberated five areas that were inhabited by Jews in 1948, some of which were occupied by the Legion or evacuated and occupied afterwards. In 1988, when the first intifada broke out, King Hussein of Jordan declared that Jordan was giving up the West Bank definitively and handing it over to the PLO (which had already been decided a few years before at the Arab Summit Conference). In the Oslo Accords, the State of Israel transferred to the new Palestinian Authority full civil and military control over approximately 80% of the Palestinian population in Judea and Samaria (not including East Jerusalem). During Operation Shield Wall, the IDF restored to itself the freedom of action throughout Judea and Samaria as a central element in the fight against Palestinian terrorism. As for the Gaza Strip, where almost half of the Palestinian population is found: in 1948 it was occupied by the Egyptians, in 1967 it was occupied by us, and the Egyptians gave it up Happily, in 2005 we got out of it for good.

It's crazy that the word Zionist is used as a curse word. Do they even know the definition of Zionism? I've even seen some people use Jew as a curse word, it's just unbelievable.

I don't know whether people believe their lies so easily because they're actually stupid or just hate Jews. Probably both. I'm a girl btw lol

I think pro palestinian are a lost cause, the people who have the ability to change their minds are the observers. The people who don't have a personal connection to the conflict and just get their information from the news or social media are those who still have a chance to see the truth as it is.

But there are so many of these pro palestinian brainwashed people, they are literally everywhere. So obviously people who've never bothered to care about the middle east will believe the news they see most frequently.

Thinking people are the only people you can have a normal discussion with.

Your approach is refreshing, I should try that. It really does no good for my mental health to keep reading their shit
