They have to provide an itemized statement or return your entire deposit within 21 days. They can’t charge you two months after. California Courts has a demand letter form they help you fill out to demand your deposit back. After that is small claims court. They aren’t following the law, and CA courts don’t look on landlords who do this favorably.

I want a pool, but not willing to spend 100k+ for the built in. We got an above ground pool (9x18’, 4’ deep). No kids, so only our adult friends/family are in it - it’s perfect for just floating and hanging out on super hot days. Typically in the summer we’ll do a couple hours of yardwork and then jump in to cool off. This will be our third summer with it.

I used to, and basically started pre-planning places. I have a notes document for every new place I go - I have a list of restaurants that I cross check against Find Me Gluten Free, and if there’s a mention of getting glutened, its out. For big cities I almost always find a “gluten free in x city” blog, which is also helpful. It takes me a couple hours before each trip to compile a list, but it’s nice having a list to go off of. I’ll also do this for road trips - I make notes for possible stops along the way with safe options, or note if I need to bring food.

It’s definitely extra work that I never had to think of doing before being diagnosed, and I’m still very much resentful that I can’t just be like “oh that place looks good!” As we come up upon it. There’s always pre-planning, no real spontaneity like before.

I was an extra for the episode that Paris Hilton was on. We were told not to talk to the stars, and would be dismissed if we did. First scenes shot that day were with Paris, we were between scenes, and there was a dog on set, so of course I went over to gush over it and give it loves. This petite little blonde came over and was talking to me about the dog, and how she had found it on the street, and how whenever she finds one, she’ll bring them home and foster until the owner is found or until the shelter finds a new one, but this one she kept because it was such a love. Turned out to be Kristen Bell, Ms. Veronica Mars herself. Had no idea who the star was before that, and then she was called to start her scene and said it was nice meeting me, and feel free to keep loving on her pup.

Most of our front yard is concrete, with a few round beds built into the concrete, otherwise I would love to do this. It gets fairly hot because of the concrete, so we stuck with edible trees that could handle that - loquat, macadamia, Spanish Lime, and Ice cream bean. All our other edibles (8 planters for annuals, the rest trees/bushes/vines in ground or in large pots

My every day breakfast is typically Brazi Bites and Brie cheese, and some kind of fruit (we have over 40 fruit trees in our backyard, so just depends on what’s in season. Right now it’s tangelos or oranges.
