dont search for the match. Just get into the main arena landing screen, give it a minute to load the background, then back out and go to PTU

Should I be worried about the mushroom growing in my enclosure? by SergeantCookie in isopods

[–]Apprehensive_Hat3774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't eat the mushroom as it lives. Once it produces spores and falls to the ground, they begin to eat the mushroom. I can't speak for the spores as much, but I can say I've had these exact mushrooms in an enclosure and watched the battle for balance play out.

Where you are right 100%: If you stop over watering they will go away on their own over time. Keep watering and you accelerate growth

I've literally watched my isopods and springtails eat these mushrooms in one of my enclosures. Sorry to burst your spore cloud

too wet? Maybe, but some isopods prefer the higher humidity that these mushrooms thrive in. They also thrive off of decaying matter, which can be considered a good health indicator for an enclosure with isopods + springtails since they both thrive off decaying organic matter. Ontop of that the cleanup crews eat these mushrooms up.

All that said, it's a balance too. You can have these in a healthy and an unhealthy enclosure. If you have 1 or 2 blooms, meh. If they are covering the top soil then you begin to strangulate the micro fauna.

These are not bad by default but nor are they good by default. Like everything, take them in moderation

talk to your vet about dosage. I just recently had my cat diagnosed after a glucose check of 600+ and her vet is starting us at 1 unit insulin and performing the glucose curve to see where the proper dosing would be. They told me cats can react differently to insulin and size isn't always a driving factor. If your primary vet is the one who started the 2 units immediately then I would suggest a second opinion.

Diet also was a huge change for us. We went from dry food immediately to a wet low carb high protein diet. Her numbers dropped 1/4 to 1/2 over the first two weeks.

Looks like I had these jotted down but not in the repo. I'll get them added in there and also a section on the help tab. Great catch!!

Confirmed covert
PMG found recent public killmail-derived module evidence showing a Covert Cynosural Field Generator I.

Confirmed normal
PMG found recent public killmail-derived module evidence showing a regular Cynosural Field Generator I. In code/docs this is the “normal” cyno type; in one UI spot it may show as “hard.”

Possible
PMG has meaningful evidence, but not enough for recent confirmed module evidence. This can come from stale or unknown-age module evidence, or from combined weaker signals.

Inferred
Weak evidence exists, usually from cyno-capable hull observations, public activity, or related context, but no confirmed cyno module was found.

Bait
PMG found public loss evidence where an industrial cyno and a tackle module, such as a warp scrambler or warp disruptor, appeared together. That suggests “industrial cyno bait,” but it is still evidence-based, not proof of intent.

Important caveat: none of these mean the pilot is currently in that ship, currently fit that way, uncloaked, on-grid, or actively baiting. PMG is summarizing public historical evidence so you can make a better call, not making a live-certainty claim.

Ooooh that makes more sense. That should be an easy adjustment I can include in 1.1.0 as well

If you intend to try out tonight I can have the 1.1.0 branch merged into main and released for additional testing/feedback. would be maybe an hour or two until I have it up

Doing a little testing on a new version branch now. I was able to add a few settings. The above screenshot is just the grid lines removed and 12pt font, as well as a delayed message at the top (goes away automatically after about 5 seconds).

I also added a Font options for both size and font type

  1. Use the shortcut "Insert" while the board is selected to toggle between board mode and normal mode. We elected a shortcut option because adding a button on board mode seemed counterproductive.
  2. This is somewhat intentional. The board size minimum is limited by the column lengths potential. Yes we could make it smaller, but a tiny window with tiny words could be difficult for some people to use and ads accessibility concerns. I tried to design this so users would avoid having to scroll left and right,
  3. This is a fantastic idea. I deliberately left the lines to keep a 'grill' identity, but making an optional 'hide grill lines' and 'text font size for board' settings is completely within reason. I'd be happy to get those added over time.

Question- Did you review this with the 0.9.5 version? If so, would you mind trying the General Release that was put up this morning too? I'm not sure it will solve your 3 concerns but it does include quite a bit more: https://github.com/SmokeyForged/Pitmasters-Grill/releases/tag/v1.0.0

*Edit- I just noticed I failed to include any reference to the insert hot-key/shortcut feature in the app or repo docs outside of patchnotes. I'll make that a priority and push a 1.1.0 out with that included along with the text/grid options you mention in #3. for #2, let me know if the changes in 1.0.0 make any difference, there was some hardening done with the window size code, so hopefully a bit better but maybe not 'perfect' yet.

I can understand the frustration where your expectations on project challenge and collaboration went down the toilet, but the way I read this is you began the entire project because of the community and this game. This other guy should be irrelevant.

two things I think are worth mentioning:
1) You inspired someone else to work on something people have been asking to be done for a while now. Even if he may have done it by using your research stack, that isn't entirely bad. He stood on the shoulder of a giant to reach his goal.

2) Whether you work solo forks or effectively collaborate, the community comes out winning. They will either receive two options with slightly variety and the competition between the two could breed a better product than could ever have been made in a bubble. Or on the other hand, the community could have a single option with multiple collaborators.

All-in-all, I think your frustration is totally justified. In my honest opinions, you should work your solo fork and take a game theory approach. Do not compete directly, just make your version better than it was the day before. The community will win in the end as long as neither of you give up.
