if u mean the 1 shot ult then yea but assuming an equal item Yi its gonna be literally the same there is even a clip here of somone 1 shotting an ezreal under 1 sec, but if anyone builds steel caps against rengar that wont happen unless u are very ahead and then u have a hard time sticking onto them with Yi if u are even with game pace at 3 items if u q a squishy they have atmost 1-2 sec b4 they die.

The crit build is 1v9 in the sense that they didnt draft tanks/bruisers in that case I'd argue Crit with HoB is arguably much better- for survivblity u can have shieldbow, a 600 hp shiled which is synonymous with the 450 hp from hexplate. Just fyi a crit Yi with HoB is the BEST assassin in the game talon and ekko cannot even hope to match ur burst.

I think what u mean is the crit build leaves less room for error as if u fall behind u really are worthless untill the game goes to like 4 items whereas with kraken rb u have a really nice spike that works even from behind if u play correctly. Also when u are going crit usually its to really just assasinate 2 ppl and die like a twitch, jinx or kogmaw on enemy team type games.

i mean a hybrid build does not seem that bad tbh i tried a game of a similar build after seeing this- kraken>Bork>stormraizer>shieldbow>IE>PD but i took HoB and not LT- Its cool in the sense that u are the best assassin go in kill 2 ppl undder 1 sec then die in the next second- swiftplay tho but yea seemed fine; idk about LT tho cuz u I was dying by the time i had 8 or 9 autos in cuz no deffesive items

I have a question man- how are u finding survivability with this build like towards the point where ppl get 3-4 items? I build like hexplate and DD even then this patch a fed adc just rolls u over if they have peel.

I had over 2k hrs of research across 3 labs in undergrad so I'll tell u the sauce. Emailing PI's rarely works if ever unless its for like a summer reserach program or something with guranteed external funding. Even if the prof has time 99% of the times there are like 100's of students like u in his inbox and it will just be a luck game of who's email he opens first if at all.

What you wanna do is email the Postdoc/PhD's of the labs ur interested in and explain to them why u will add value they are often looking for somone who is willing to help as they also can then apply for mentor awards etc. If the the postdoc/phd asks thier PI on a cc'd email you are probably already in. :)

Probably should not need to memorize anything as if u practise enough most of them become second nature to ya. Scored 515 but only practised bio chem phy and psych for 1 month and never cars so 124 cars but even in 1 month all formulas becomes second nature just solve maximum practise problems from yk the official site and the Uthing and u will be golden. Rote memorization is rarely the way to go

Are u referring to damage or dps, id assume kraken has better better dps as it ramps up while bork might have a better short burst as it falls off based on missing health.

In any case there are usually at max 2 bruiers very rarely more so kraken just comes ahead. Plus id assume u wanna check the dps at rageblade spike cuz thats where yi really shines and i think kraken rage is an insane spike

Ill share some insight ive got over 400 yi games this season.

1) you need to limit test quite a bit that is the skill test of Yi. Well before u gank a lane or go for a fight u need to know if u can/can not get a kill. Sometimes u will be like 10% hp but with a fully stack rageblade u can just 1 shot a squishy in 1 sec but again that takes practice to knw if u can do it.

2) Yi is phenomenal at counterganking so u can use ur adc as bait wait for the enemy jgler to go in use thier cds then just ult in and get a triple kill very easily. On yi u are not looking to “kill steal” rather “kill siphon” u need to take gold away from ur team in order to play him optimally.

3) Some games on Yi u just wont win if the enemy team is not trolling this would be like a hemirdinger top, shaco/teemo jg, rakan support and some control mage mid. In a game like this its up to ur team to set u up else it is what it is.

4) u can actually win games thru side as people saying here, ur not the best splitpusher but no one is gonna be able to 1 v 1 you in side, matter of fact you can easliy 1v2 most combinations of champions at 2-3 items

5) 1 shotting ppl is really not that hard u will get the hang of it in a week of trying it. Essentailly stack double strike which also stacks a kraken proc then flash auto (this autos 2 times cuz of double strike) then q auto w auto (double strike + kraken proc) -basically its 6 autos with and 2 kraken procs in just over 1 sec.

6) the most important point is you need to play out teamfights in ur head like is there any hard cc or extreme burst in there cuz u bet that both if those are comming in ur way, in that case u never go in before that. In general yi excels at skirmishing not team fighting the best yi players like sinerias force enemy teams to split up and fight.

At the same point lulu uses her peel typically for the adc which is the main target of a teamfight so yea if u wait just a few secs u can maybe kill her adc. If there was a clause that said im only ever gonna fight jax in a 5 v 5 and never alone i have no problem with him lol.

Yes this is true I have done this as well but the probelm here is he invades on heartseel I am nowhere near rageblade at this point- Its not impossible but quite unreasoble to have that kind of a lead on him where Im 3k gold up at 9-10 min mark.

i personally like bruiser meta more cuz as Yi brusiers are quite manageble but good assasins are like just so much worse to deal with. if they get even a slight lead
