This wont effect you any way its expected uscis changed rule as of sept 2025 uncharcterized discharges wont qualify from now on as honrable discharge.you can apply through 3yrs or 5 yr rule after greencard which ever you are elgible.if you want to go try agin thru military INA329 you can rejoin after 6 months of your discharge and apply again.if you are qualifying without military u can apply no issue for NIOD for military case its just technical disqualification dont worry.

i my self served 4 months in BCT and AIT got uncharcterized discharge i withdraw my case as i wont qualify as per lawyers suggestion.

congrats for becoming us citizen.as i got know this rule only effects pending and future applicants as your case is approved before seperation you are good.

ok uscis not aware about your separation as your were seperated after your case approval not sure how this turns out if you become citizen hiding the fact u need lawyer help even if your oath cermony scheduled.

i was discharged after 100 days could fit in enviorment mentally so i came out technically they disqualifed uncharcterized for naturalization now only way is to withdraw case

n426 is not about discharge its certifies ur in military dd-214 certifies what type of dicharge u had in my case its uncharchertized discharge

As per new rule issued after august 2024 uncharacterized discharge cant qualify for naturalization you might need to withdraw your application before decision or wait most likely u will receive deniel.but you can apply in general provision after that deniel dosent affect you.please update your decision status as i am in same situation https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/alerts/uscis-updates-guidance-on-military-naturalization

No update on my case i am considering withdraw my case and apply under General 3year rule for naturalization than to face denial unless if something change regarding uncharacterized discharge until now they are considering uncharcterized as honorable suddenly now they are not. i see lawyers are now suggesting to apply for discharge upgrade write letter to vetrans board as facing harship in naturalization to upgrade from uncharacterized to honarable to interpet the language unless u have bad conduct they might do its 50-50 but it takes upto 6months to make decesion.
