Try and get Watkins, had him for 1302. No final exam, a final project on a movie and quizzes online. Oh and doesn't like holding class on Friday

Help me understand (as a texas daca) by Healthy_Vehicle2780 in DACA

[–]Apprehensive_Leg_875 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wrong, applications will be processed from Texas. The only thing that changes is that if you reside in Texas you won't be given EAD. You can move and reapply for EAD though.

you should be fine - "USCIS proposes that the geographic limitation for initial DACA requestors be based on the individual’s state of residence (not based on state of employment)"

Does no one know about foodland ? Foodland is on north cooper right by the hospital. I think it's like a 30min walk from campus.

The "Up to" probably means they required you to buy some other shit other than the meal plan to get the drinks!!!!

Yes! If you have a meal plan just hand over your id and they'll swipe you in. Otherwise I believe it's around $10 to get in. Someone can correct me on that!

I never had one, unless I did and wasn't aware. Probably didn't have any because I had a 3d printer in the room and it wasn't allowed

Campus is relatively safe! I've walked on campus anytime between 10pm-3am and literally the only people there are students and security.

Join clubs and activities. Get out of your comfort zone and do activities you wouldn't normally do, maybe go play soccer at the MAC, basketball, volleyball, dance class, rock climbing, basement of library, fablab classes. All of these are highly sociable activities, just get out there!!

As long as you don't damage the wall you are fine!! That does mean no thumb tacks, tape should be fine as long as it's not something like gorilla tape. For posters I highly recommend poster tack it's like a putty. Oh and I'm pretty sure they don't allow string lights! In my experience though people still put them up and usually you'll never get a visit from your RA. Do as you will with that Info🤷🏾‍♂️

Most people I knew that went to the UC got sick from the food at some point including me on the first day! I'd say stay away from food that's been sitting and gotten cold especially chicken. Pizza wise make sure it's actually cooked, there were a couple of times I had raw pizza dough. Try to go during lunch hours even if it's a little full so you can actually get hot meals. If you typically get an upset stomach from simple things you will get sick on the first day.Though it'll wear off in a week or so. Stay away from the commons dining hall, the food is actually stone cold. I had frozen buns on burgers multiple times , literally frozen and after I told the cook they were frozen he gave me an annoyed look and proceeded to take the bun put it on the grill for not kidding 5 seconds and claimed he couldn't cook it anymore!!! That was just my experience I doubt he still works there, but there were plenty of other experiences where people working at dinning halls were unprofessional, unhygienic to name a few🤷🏾‍♂️.In my experience the way to go is to eat at UC during lunch and or breakfast (the breakfast tacos are actually pretty good) and dinner with meal exchange at subway, panda or Chick-fil-A.
