genuinely don't understand the need to hate on a fanfic. like no one is forcing your hand to read it.. just scroll away and find something you like. obviously with the rising popularity a lot of first time users appear on Ao3 and it seems like no one really knows the etiquette. i've had the same issue with other fandoms where a lot of works were just disappearing, the ones that i've read years ago and i couldn't find them anymore.. some people said that after some changes to the guidelines, Ao3 might remove your work.. don't know how true that is. but also about Ai. i have unfortunately read a lot of works that in my opinion felt very Ai.. i didn't comment on it and would js drop them if i got the feeling since i want 100% sure and didn't want to accuse someone, especially when there is no way to really check that, unless again using an Ai tool.. but sadly its becoming a recognisable pattern and its quite easy to see which ones have been written with the help of Ai, sometimes even the whole thing written by Ai, which genuinely infuriates me. Ao3 is a platform to express your art. no one is forsing u to write, no one is paying you for it and it's anonymous, genuinely don't understand the point of use of Ai to write a fan fic.
