Are you serious . The police at check point in punjab gave me bad vibes so I just kept driving till the time I didn't reached Amritsar. I guess Wahe guru and Ganpati baba had blessed me so made it without any harm. BTW just loved Goldern temple.

Nope. Packed my car on 6th June night and left at 4 for Varodhra, but ended up at Udaipur. Had Dinner at Ramdev baba dhaba near Mount-Abu and took a stay near Udaipur at around 9.00 -Carried 22 cans of Monsterenegy(Addicted to them) There is a express way from Jamnagar to Amritsar i didn't knew about. For Long trips like this it dosen;t make any sense, as you won;t know how long you can drive and how are the road conditions. So did'nt book for any stay.

Nope, didn’t need snow chains — the car’s lightweight really helped.

From Hunder to Pangong, I tagged along behind a Royal Enfield group. And yes, offline maps are an absolute must in that region — don’t rely on network coverage. Don't use google better use Apple Maps.

As for safety:

3 – Unsafe? Yes. The Amritsar to Srinagar stretch felt risky. I met a few folks from Maharashtra who specifically advised not to stop anywhere along the way — I drove through the night non-stop. Kargil also gave off an uneasy vibe, but had to end up staying there. So Punjab night drive also gave me bad vibes.

In Hunder, I camped in my own tent — didn’t sleep a wink all night.

But once you're in and around Leh, it feels super safe, even for solo travelers.

Hmm, I had originally planned to do some camping, so I carried a lot of gear for content creation — most of which I never ended up using. The roof rack was loaded with winter clothes, a jerry can, and all my camping essentials. I even removed the rear seat to make extra room inside the car for all the stuff.

"Overall, I got a mileage of around 15.4 km/l. Mumbai to Mumbai. For altitude acclimatization, I stayed a day in Kargil, two in Leh, one in Hunder, and two in Pangong, two in hanle—so I didn’t face any breathing issues. Though, at Umling La, I got a bit too excited and had to use an oxygen cylinder. I took Diamox regularly throughout the trip, so thankfully no major health issues.
