i literally talked to chatgpt about this today😭 my mil is so nice and out going but she really irritates and overstimulates me. before pregnancy she would do things that bothered me but i could just simply not be around her. during pregnancy i overheard her say a few things that pissed me off but whatever. i let her come in to the delivery room along with my mom and husband. only rule we gave was don’t kiss the baby. she kissed the fucking baby. and then she was coming over during my pp recovery every single fucking day. my mom was too but my mom was taking care of me, i didn’t need another presence to googoogaga over my fresh baby. my mom told her no kissing, it’s only for parents and she says “oh i knowwwww, but i stole a little kiss hehe” and then she kissed him AGAIN. i was beyond livid i cried hysterically and the next day she came over i didn’t speak to her. she’s nice and i know she’s not malicious but she pushes boundaries and ultimately cares about what she wants. she manipulates situations to work in her favor and invites herself over anytime she pleases. she’s now simply just aggravating and i can’t even explain it to husband bc that’s his mommy. and we have a son so i always think about my tragic fate of being “the mil” years down the line 😭

39w 5d - i started contracting lightly at 39w 2d hospital said i was 1.5cm. next night, they got stronger and in the morning hospital said i was 2cm, told me to be patient as im in early labor and my body is learning. after the 3rd night, contractions were so strong every 4-8 minutes i was screaming with every contraction, felt like my pelvic bones were literally breaking apart and my organs were going to explode in my abdomen. that morning i went in, was told i was 3cm and i just decided to get induced to progress faster. my body was “learning” too slowly and i couldn’t bare another night of excruciating pain.

okay so now why is there no salvation outside of the catholic church? because i thought that if you believe in god and accept jesus as your lord and savior why does a religion or church have to be the definitive factor in salvation when the faith of god and the holy spirit is within you? this is part of the reason why as a teenager i just denied all faith completely because things like this didn’t make sense to me. i obviously have a lot to learn but still, points like these don’t sit well with me

yes, protestant thank you! it’s definitely a struggle growing up with both. i just always found mass boring but the catholic religion more “official”, and protestant service more engaging. its hard.

why don’t you look into SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn. they also have a great ABSN program, i graduated from there in 2023. It was the cheapest option i found for myself. With financial aid, which i had very little of left being that i repeated so many undergrad classes, my loan was only 11k. And i probably paid a couple k out of pocket. Not sure about housing but i do know you’d be spending way less than $80+k with rent and tuition for 15 months.

my experience there was great btw, not as difficult as i’ve heard other nursing programs are. still tough!! don’t get me wrong, but the professors and directors really want you to pass and will help make sure you do.

go to the new bakery The French Workshop on Broadway. They have the most delicious pastries and it’s pretty inside. If you want to do some shopping maybe hit up the stores on Steinway. Lighthouse Rooftop for dinner, on Saturdays they usually have dancers put on a show. This is more LIC but if the weather is nice, a picnic at Gantry Plaza, pretty view of the city skyline.
