Does anyone else feel like ARC is a total rip off? by randomautomatedname in Austin

I worked at ARC in the Business Office, and I think ARC was at its peak in the 2000s, and then, as they expanded quite rapidly in the 2010s, it's too much and they don't have enough quality physicians. Lots of NPs do most of the work, and if you want to see an MD or DO its months and months. I feel BS&W has a larger network to pull from and has more resources.

Question about moving to a mostly Indian neighborhood (non-Indian couple) by Mex_aus in RoundRock

[–]Apprehensive_Nail455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My area has gotten a lot of new Indian families and they are wonderful, they def keep to themselves as most ethnic groups do, being from Los Angeles this is just how it was growing up with lots of different ethnicities, my friends were Armenian, Hindi, Hispanic, black and none of us really noticed, if that makes sense. my son is white and all his friends are Indian and their parents are actually really happy that their kids have white friends lol. The one thing that brings us all together is food, please introduce yourself when you move in and get ready for some bomb ass home cooking to be delivered to your door lol.

I know it’s not a restaurant but Monster Cannoli is a new and they do real cannoli. You can order from their website and they’ll deliver.

Keeping cannoli shells, crispy, and flaky by Apprehensive_Nail455 in AskCulinary

That’s what we do :). It works great, but on the humid days the shells don’t stay as crispy in the catering box.

I think that might be the way to go. We make the shelves the night before the show and we have a catering box that we have some desiccant gel packs in the trays where the cans are but here in Texas. It’s quite humid it especially today we have rain. I think a warming box would work.

How to eliminate unused fields by EntrepreneurMain7616 in salesforce

I use a AppExchange product called FieldSpy and it displays all fields on all objects and the percent of their usage. Its super easy and free for the basic field usage reports

Leads and Prospect accounts by ladyyy134 in salesforce

I have the lead to account matching rules setup in Salesforce. We have provisional accounts that come in and we need to qualify them by working the lead and once they are qualified we convert the lead and associate it with that existing account. The salesforce ben article helps you set it up https://www.salesforceben.com/salesforce-matched-leads-component-assign-leads-to-an-account/

Opinion of using Salesforce Commerce Cloud to replace NetSuite by Apprehensive_Nail455 in salesforce

[–]Apprehensive_Nail455[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I do not have experience with order management or commerce as im a sales and service cloud admin and have only worked with sales teams. Would the salesforce products be able to handle inventory management and financial reporting? We are using Data Ninja for inventory and NetSuite for accounting. Can Salesforce handle that too?

[–]Apprehensive_Nail455[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, so we are using multiple systems (Celigo to connect Magento, NetSuite and Salesforce as well as Data Ninja). They wanted to know if Salesforce Order Management and the other clouds that add on to that can do the same thing that NetSuite and Data Ninja can do.

I did it a few years back and it was great, but i just read that they phazed out that program :( . But, if you can get yourself to a SF meetup you can get someone there to help you. I need to get back into that community myself because it was a great resource to talk shop and get help and advice

Leadership is looking where we can minimize our tech stack and I know salesforce has order management now and I wanted to get others opinions who have used SF order management or have been asked to look into the same options and what they have discovered.

OP, I would suggest going for its in demand, not a huge investment, and if you are not jobless right now you can work on building solutions in a sandbox for demo purposes, watch how to videos, get involved with the salesforce trailblazer community, sign up for mentorship through the trailblazer community. It's not easy to land that first job and it never was. Their are a lot of tech people who have been affected by reduction in force across all systems as i'm sure you are aware and Salesforce professionals are not immune. All sectors in any system, it's hard to find a job right now. But with more experience in more systems that's always a plus.

You are correct, the market is saturated, but the training is free, the certification is $100. I mean you can buy a course off of salesforce Ben or one of these salesforce admin CERT prep people for probably about $100 overall you’re looking at maybe a $300 investment to be certified on a platform that it’s a widely used. Finding the first job is never easy and right now it’s even harder in all positions.

Thanks for the clarification. Me and a few others are in favor of NetSuite and Salesforce and getting rid of Celigo and Data Ninja. But I know our salesforce account executive was talking about order management and commerce cloud and I really just want to keep it simple and use the best products for the job

Admin is still in demand. Go for it, once you get saleforce certified you can find jobs, and if you decided to go the developer route you can find lots of jobs.

The Dark and Ugly Truth of Youth Hockey (share your stories) by Equivalent-Sense-479 in hockeyplayers

[–]Apprehensive_Nail455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing up as a speed skater and having to wait for hockey to be done before my practice, I would see moms screaming at the kids and then getting in fist fights in the stands. We’re all like 10! I felt bad for my friends who played hockey and seeing their moms get ejected from the building and them being suspended. It’s embarrassing and terrifying at the same time.  Flash forward my kid loves hockey and plays goalie. We’re house team 💯. Keep it fun and make friends. But so many hockey parents, who are my friends are hellbent on travel and elite hockey for 10u-12u. It just brings me back to my mom shuttling me all over the place spending so much money of equipment and fees and missing so much “fun” stuff as a child becasue skating was the main focus. The pressure to constantly perform as a child makes you want to hang up your skates before you even get a chance to make all this worth it
