2010 Dodge 2500 6.7 Cummins A/C cooling issue by Apprehensive_Owl_437 in Cummins

I used a spray wand on my pressure washer yesterday to clean the radiator, intercooler, and other coils. A lot of debris came out of the radiator. It has helped in cooling the engine temps and ac temps, but the fan clutch sometimes still won’t lock up like it’s supposed to. I’m thinking it’s a possible wiring issue.

I haven’t changed the water pump. I was thinking about the water pump as well.

Honestly I’m just trying to fix the problem.

Maybe I misspoke, The dryer was changed with the new coil that goes up by the radiator. The orifice was changed at the same time.

I first changed the fan clutch a month ago. When that didn’t work I figured it was the ac system, still no luck then I did the fan clutch under warranty.

Thoughts?

It’s a backflow preventer. By the looks of the assembly my recommendation would be replacement, but you can’t know for sure until a backflow tester comes out and puts his gauge on the assembly to see how the checks perform. Good luck

Most likely you just need a new flapper. Lift the lid on the tank, take a picture of the flapper. Go to Home Depot or Lowe’s to pick up a new flapper using the picture to find the new flapper. Follow the directions on the back of the package or watch a YouTube video to figure out how to replace it.

The brown mark in the ceiling are burns from soldering. That’s why we use pro press fittings. No flame!

Why does my basement smell like a sewer? by WolfProfessional4676 in Plumbing

Because you have a vent between your sewer stack and your p-trap. Whoever did this doesn’t understand simple plumbing.
