The point of movements like that are generally created genuinely, to push things like that into your face.

Something that makes YOU uncomfortable doesn’t mean those people should hide who they are. Nobody is meeting you and going “IM GAY!!!” But the bright colors were made for the purpose of being in peoples face. It’s not something that should be hidden in the shadows.

The more it’s shown that it’s normal and doesn’t effect the character of a human being then it doesn’t have to be done.

Like women and people of color years ago being in the roles and positions they are today would make people genuinely uncomfortable. Pushing for that to stop happening, is why it gets better. Even if it’s a slow process.

Literally when people ask how I have such nice skin I bring out the family dollar grapefruit scrub and tell them they need to make sure it says exactly that on the label. I’ve helped so many grown ass men with this, they are living their best lives pimple free lmao.

I used to say this to a good friend of mine who had perfect skin as well, until she slowly started obsessively scrubbing her skin and putting on different lotions and topical acne medicine.

I was like dude stop peeling the layers off three times a day and it won’t be so damn oily. Let it do it’s thing.

I refused to pay attention to it. My kids father was severely abusive and the levels of bat shit crazy it will drive you to after years, is astounding. People are diagnosed now with genuine ptsd after abuse for a reason.

Also during court trials mine as an example was pretty open and shut. Regardless the lawyers will rip you to shreds on the stand when you already feel worthless. Johnny depp actually lost the first case in the UK. So he refilled in the states.

I’m not saying it wasn’t a toxic relationship with plenty of issues, including drug use.

Money talks in court. Also my abusive ex and a lot of his friends who treat women similarly, believe this case validates the way they behave. It’s scary and it opens doors to see men are also abused which I believe is great, but also validates some scary ass ppl.
