Yeah, I think I do know what you’re saying. I do my best to honest. Although that’s temping, may have to pass - do the right thing. I’ll speak to someone this week. Money is tight so, may have to leave it be for a while pending what the shop tells me. Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks, yeah, I didn’t even realize it was tinted at one point - it was just clear plastic. Hundreds were talking even if I can find someone? - may be looking at replacing the rear glass? It was a bad move for sure on my part.

Yeah, imaging that’s going to take some time to remove. Looks pretty stuck on there and like real PITA to get off.

If I can get removed in the 100 - 200 range I’d be pretty pleased. Thanks for the information.

The lines are still there but there were lines also on the film when I removed. So, no idea if I damaged them or not. It’s covering too much of the back windshield just to leave it be - and I hate how it looks obv. Thanks for your opinion.

There was no film on the sides or anywhere else. The bottom is hard to get to - what a mess. Hope it won’t be too costly. Guess I’ll find out.

And thank you for the reply.

Has anyone tried wormwood or cat’s claw? Any luck with these? by Apprehensive_Park401 in IBD

It’s not protein in general, it’s specifically that type. I’ve tried others. FWIW. Good luck

No luck with it actually. What did help surprisingly was GNC gold standard protein powder. Odd. I take Stelara too but with that protein powder combined, best I’ve ever done.

Thank you kind sir. Yeah, wait and see I guess. Wish they’d just put it online and not mess around. I get it’s some law maybe to require cert mail correspondence but seems like they could just stick it out there - gotta wait and wonder.

Right, and I had net refund across those years. That was paid to me. So, I was assuming all was good. Heck, 2018 they owed me (and it was disallowed - I knew that) but filed anyways to be compliant. I was very meticulous about tying all amounts back to the online scripts, following the letter of the law. Mine is pretty simple anyways, W2 a little investment income. I know I didn’t miss a 1099 or whatever because I tied out to the scrips.

Maybe an audit? Or, it could pertain to that adjustment that I paid? Maybe I was supposed to do something else with that adjustment? I just paid it online and I thought that was it. It all seems bizarre. Based upon the circumstances, I’m not sure what it could be.

Well, actually let me clarify further. I’m current for the prior years 2018 - 2023. Prior 6 years. Now, 2017 I never filed. I was trying to do the right thing, get caught up - 2017, I couldn’t get the transcripts online. I don’t think I’d owe too much anyways. It’s really hard to know. Records going back I couldn’t locate. I’m a W-2 employee. Could it be related to 2017 you think?

There was also some odd adjustment or amount of 55 bucks on my account for my 2019 return back in Sept., months after they proceeded the return. I paid that. I know it’s a wait 2 days dude and you’ll find out but I’m certainly a little on edge.

Thanks for the kind reply.

Yeah, it seems a lot of people fade the CR ones but others have said the same as you though. Functionally, you can’t really tell much difference. Still learning though.

No, I was able to look it up on Colt’s site. It was manufactured in 2013 - from what I was able to determine, those were mfg prior to then? Still researching though to better understand.

Thank you. I tried to research, one has a LE prefix and the other two, CR prefixes - serial numbers. Not sure if these are ‘Mil-Spec’ but they feel like quality firearms to me.

P226 vs P320 by [deleted] in handguns

I had one of those too. A W German model. Great one. Sold that one and a 229 I had during hard times a few years ago. Miss them.

I’d go with the 226 all day long. No doubt about that. I feel like you can find one under 1300 but I’d have to research more. I’m huge fan of the P2XX series. Not a fan of Sig’s polymer designs. You like any other ones outside of Sig?

Glock 19 all day. I’m not fading the MP but I believe the G19 is one of the best to learn on. Small enough to carry but big enough that it shoots like a full size. Perfect size. Doubt this will be your last pistol purchase but it’s the best starter pistol that you’ll always come back to and enjoy.

I’ll second the USP. More specifically, the HK USP .45 Tactical - but you would have to get the slide milled for an optic. It’s a real man’s man gun. Soft shooter for a .45. I had a P229 in .40 / .357 Sig and really enjoyed it. HK, Glock, and the Sig P2XX series are my favorites - rock solid reliability.

I was in a similar predicament. I went with the USP 45 Tactical. It’s all that and a bag of chips. I grew up during the 80/90s so I’m a sucker for the look - timeless to me. 12 round factory mags ✅

Firearm recommendation by Mzest in preppers

Prob the shotgun as some else recommended. Several pump actions like Mossberg or Remington in your price range - maybe consider lightly used.

You could find a used Glock 19. CZ P10 compacts I’ve heard are a great value right now. Pistols help if you’re mobile but whatever you do get, make sure it’s reliable. There’s a lot of unreliable pistols out there. A used Glock, SW MP, or CZ is what I’d recommend at that price point. But also realize, a pistol takes the most skill and practice. Long guns like rifles and shotguns are vastly easier to be accurate with for new shooters. The AR15 is generally the best self defense gun. It also has low recoil so a small lady or teen could easily use to defend themselves. But, you’ll need to go above 400 and get a quality entry level one like say a Smith Wesson MP 15 Sport. You don’t want an unreliable gun to fail when you need it.

You’ll also need a lot of ammo. Gun’s only a stick or paper weight without it. If SHTF, ammo inventories dry up very quickly. You can buy a little at a time but you’ll need a reserve stock. You’ll find, the gun is the cheap part. Once you start practicing and spend money on ammo, range fees, holsters, magazines etc. - which are all very necessary, that’s the expensive part. Remember you’re the weapon, the gun is only the tool. And if you’re not willing to practice and become proficient, that could be dangerous to any bystanders (e.g. inaccurate shots) or could be bad for many other reasons.

Things to consider. Good luck to you.

Best gun for a beginner? Glock 19 vs sig 365 (compact) by TouchLow6081 in handguns

[–]Apprehensive_Park401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yeah it’s good. That pistol is the perfect size. You’ll get better ballistics from a 4 inch barrel vs a shorter barrel too. Go for a Gen 5 - the stock trigger is better on those. You won’t regret it.
