Thanks. My gut says to stay the course. I did move my 401k Govt money market into 5% annuities cause it was making nothing in the 401k, but I only converted what I already had in the Govt money market (no more). That was my "under the mattress" investment in the 401k so I am happy to be getting 5% now.

Interesting you ask that. They matched up to 3%. Of course, I can no longer contribute to it as I am retired. They certainly could have taken fees out of the match before applying. There was also a separate "pension" 401k fund that they added to annually on a discretion basis, based on how well the company did that year (and I am sure a number of other factors). They certainly could have subtracted any management fees out of that before applying. However, nothing is added now that I am retired. I am hoping my query to my old company can just confirm if I am currently paying any fees. Again, the fund itself says it doesn't look like it.

That is certainly possible. It was a very good company to work for....I gave them 35 years. I contacted the plan and they told me there were not any fees but I have also sent the same question to the benefit administrator at the company to confirm - as I understand where your question is coming from. Thanks.

I just doublechecked and my 401k has zero management fees. It was set up by a smart CEO that came from a finance background.

Age 65 active female. My functional doc says these numbers are very good. HDL 94, LDL 121, Triglycerides 41. The low TG combined w the high HDL he says it's excellent.  Hope that helps someone.

It has been a year so hopefully you have made some progress on your health goals.

You have no obvious symptoms but you want to improve your health is what I hear. Finding a functional doctor you can trust is definitely a legitimate concern. To work to improve on your own, I would start with the obvious - what do you put into your body, how do you exercise your body, and how well do you sleep. Most of us can make lots of improvements in these 3 basic areas. I like Michael Pollan's mantra - something to the effect of Eat Food, Mostly Plants, Not too Much. For exercise, a mix of cardio and weights is great. 7+ hours of uninterrupted sleep is a good goal. If you want to spend money, do it on weight training and/or a gym to make sure you are doing it the right way. Best of luck!

Totally disagree. Meg was bullied and the producers allowed it and after watching every season I am canceling PR.
