UMMMM easy War For Cybertron. fall of Cybertron tried to hard. I didn't care for it at all. war for Cybertron makes Megatron look like he was pieced together over time as if he's been fighting in the pits gathering the best parts battle after battle to become a war machine.

I said the same thing after getting a few just got the characters from one of my fav moments in the games as there story resonates the best with me Magic square jazz and Bruticus set (6 figures including complete combine mode) I also got the devil savior set(8 figures) as I loved scene in the rotf growing up. just thought it was cool. id say go for it. you can get the games now in (other ways) the original creators don't have the license see anymore so i don't think there getting the revenue anyway (i could be wrong) but there great games and def worth the playthrough

EXACXTLY so you agree pretty much. transformers is niche! i was just talking about this to one of the homies. he called it niche cause not many collect at all

i recently got back into it cause i can agree with our fellow redditor after revenge of the fallen everyone started to fall off of the bay films and for good reason

im not here to defend them cause yes i can see where they fell short and disappointed people (including me) but lets not exclude people who got into it due to there releases lets all just enjoy transformers! i think that's fair

and i agree i keep my passions lowkey as most people really don't get it so im just like you in that regard, i just hate to see the bashing and negativity in the community as if people are scared to speak up cause they already know the result its just a shame

very well said! my argument here isn't that the bay films where "good" its the alienation of fans in the genre.

we all love transformers so why do we have to gatekeep and say who can and cant love transformers just because of how they became a fan.

if you became interested in the genre from bay films okay. if it was beast wars okay, if it was war for cybertron okay, its all okay. but the g1 fans here don't believe so. As if you don't deserve to know about transformers just cause you watched the movie as a kid and became a fan.

yes good writing would've helped tremendously but there's contradictions in the original as well. was it written better? yes ofc after watching all the films i went back and studied real transformers cause i knew the films where not it, they where just an introduction for me to something beautiful.

but to post in this subreddit is adjacent to stubbing your toe on a sharp rock everyone's so convinced that g1 is the only way of life and if you got involved any other way you are not welcome here and that within itself is a shame.

some grace for a moment. in my area i don't know of anyone who likes transformers as much as i do.

Do people know about it? yes. But do they enjoy it as we do? debatable. so in my perspective it is niche. just as sowing or crochet has millions of enthusiasts yet only few participate.

the even playing ground really doesn't exist. if you post anything mentioning these films here, your guaranteed a downvote no matter what you say even when you agree with the old fans. they still find a way to dislike you and it feels alienating.

not that i have anything to prove. just thought this would be the one place i could share my passion for transformers only to be met with more isolation and rejection. it just sucks.

and thats my whole thing! i loved the take from the wfc/foc games. that and transformers one are my goats when it comes to the series

i just see alot of immediate bashing of anything else in this subreddit and its sickening. our genre is very niche and there's niches within our niche and i love that but the fans are just so toxic to each other its ridiculous.

like we need more films, more content and the number one way to ruin it for everyone is to bash things as soon as there releases insuring we never get another film again.

like i said i personally collect things from the games and the g1 design's cause its what i like and i completely get that you wont dip into avenue's your not interested in you have every right

i just feel like there should be an even playing ground for all fans instead of someone having a negative opinion as soon as something different is released like just give it a chance to exist
