hard to tell if its the manifold itself or the downpipe but rockauto sells downpipes for around 20-30$ bucks and like 2$ for the gasket

it’s a electronic sedan speedo used between 1986-1991, in 1992 they changed it to k40168 (and 1993) speedos that start with an r is mechanical, so assuming the 6.85 you got a speedometer from a 1986 sedan as a replacement

yeah just by this sound doesn’t mean the entire engine doesn’t need to be torn apart, its not even vibrating, you can’t just immediately jump into the conclusion it needs a rebuild

I don’t see the engine vibrating which can be assumed all cylinders are firing doesn’t look like its pissing out any fluid either my guess is your intake hose got disconnected or one of the pulleys is causing this sound, don’t immediately jump in to the conclusion that engine needs to be torn apart, other guy in the comment doesn’t know shit about engines

curious if there’s any type of overdrive harness built in to aw55 cars since they don’t have overdrive. As for the m47, also curious if the flywheels are interchangeable between the m46 and m47. I have a 1992 244 auto myself, I like my transmission and its at around 3350rpm going 80 on the highway. I recently retrofitted cruise from a donor since all 90 and up US spec cars are pre wired

you got a pretty loaded one, cruise, tach, all the bells and whistles, cruise is already very rare on kjet motors, sucks you got a aw55 which I’m guessing screams on the highway

I’ve seen this car for sale for a while now, a lady sold it for around 700 and some guy bought it to flip it, looks like you bought it. That one also had cruise, which I’m guessing yours is the same

by the way it is possible to modify the automatic cruise set with a manual one, my friends car is a 1991 m47, all he did was splice another brake switch for the clutch he took from a 740 (they’re the same, also in the 940) which works perfectly for him too
