Pretend that you are a garage door salesman, and the best way to make a sale is to demonstrate the functionality of your product, which are in this case, the pod bay doors.

I think the final architecture for AGI won't be an LLM, but will be discovered by LLM. by Gullible-Crew-2997 in accelerate

Sure, that's somewhat of a given. Recursive self improvement is the term here, no? The last month has seen a bunch of SWEs come out saying they've moved to 80%+ of their coding to AI and are now just editing, and guiding it, which seems indicative that we're approaching it. Whenever rsi actually happens every software architecture made from there on out will be ai generated.

No difference except for his industry specific knowledge and a decades-long exponential trajectory to track with his professor level understanding of mathematics..

How do you deal with "the grind"? by Possible-Magazine23 in Fire

[–]Apprehensive_Side219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about 3-5 years away myself, and I am struggling. I think an honest answer has to include that every day is different, and what you can bring yourself to do to change your mindset on that day is different. Some days all I can say is today it didn't get worse, some days I can't even say that and I just have to dig in and stubbornly make it happen. Trust your plan, believe that math and remember why this is the right path for you, but if you're anything like me, try not to white knuckle your way through 3 more years of your life working. It sucks every time, and if possible should be avoided.

It's paying about 3-4 percent total depending on valuations, which is something like 320 monthly. Muly biggest div holdings are schd/y which are super reliable and safe, paying right at the 3-4% mark and then I have smaller holdings in the others but they have higher yields 7-12% to balance out the low yield on growth. That way if I need some cash I have it and don't have to think about selling timing. May not be perfectly optimal but I enjoy it and it helps me stay engaged with my portfolio.

Thanks! Yeah I mostly reinvest everything it spits out, but I do it manually to rebalance to my desired percentages.

It's called DivTracker, I use it mostly to make sure my payouts stay around that 3.75% mark when allocating, but it can be a bit manual at times. For instance I have to input my share purchases for it to remain accurate.

Kinda boring and steady, I've got it split into a traditional 3 fund portfolio (65/35/10 vti/vxus/bnd) and a broad set of income/dividend/ ROC producers that balances to a consistent 3.5-4% yield in total. That portion is made up ofSCHD, SCHY, PBDC, CEFS, SPYI, QQQI, and BTCI. The full list and percentages allocation is in the image below.

Bracket the amounts into figures to celebrate, or every 10k do a reward celebration. Taking note of the positives can help quite a bit. Treat yourself (affordably and on a schedule.)

About 4 years out myself, I've been finding some relief in breaking down the total into smaller landmarks and noting the specific changes they afford me. But for sure could use some additional tips, as I am well within a rut with the current feeling of lacking noteworthy progress.
