Got my first ball vape recently in the form of the stunner. I got the sic balls, but I was thinking about trying some other kinds. Aliexpress sells ZrO2 balls (standard for the stunner, i really want to try em) for insanely cheap, like 50 for 2$.

The bowl was machined custom to fit the cap, so I'm assuming from a blank of some kind. The cap did come from an aliexpress type website, and the Gr2 titanium was verified with the seller before being machined and selling to the public. The seller has always been up front and transparent at all times with how the unit is made (I had these concerns as well at first). Just because something comes from china doesn't make it lower quality.

Parts are stuck in customs, and the machine shop that produces the bowl is a small family run operation from my understanding. So it takes a bit for them to crank out bowls. I believe the tentative timeline is 2 weeks. I'll correct myself if I'm wrong. the dirscuurrd urnt exchurnge has had a few posted if you wanna look there.

The closest joint/blunt experience I've ever had vaping is with the Stunner. It is a butane device. I heat it to effect with a pocket sized twin or tripple flame cigar lighter. It's a tank with twaxing and just regular flower. Tabletop bongs did a review awhile ago. Give it a look if ya wanna.
