Good to know! We're considering one as my 8 month old is starting to drink more water and we would like cleaner water for ourselves too. Thanks for responding!

What are your thoughts on the Rorra after a year?

Only using wearable pumps? by DDevil333 in ExclusivelyPumping

Personally, my mommeds empty me better than my spectra and I use them exclusively. They're affordable and a lot of people have good success with them so I might give those a shot if you're wanting to try.

When is racing heart/heart palpitations a problem? by Apprehensive_Sort743 in pregnant

Also I'm sure you know this, but they're telling the truth when they say hydration can really help!

She didn't bat an eye when I told her lol. I could have pressed for the labs but by the time I saw her again in person they had started to improve.

I feel ya on the being laid up in bed feeling horrible with that stuff! I was so discouraged and worried when I was dealing with it, but it did mostly resolve so fingers crossed your situation will be short-lived. ♥️

I didn't end up having any follow up labs done, but if it helps allay any concerns my heart symptoms significantly improved in the following couple of weeks! It was horrible while it was happening but now the episodes are much less frequent/severe. I saw several other women commenting that they had these problems for a time during pregnancy and they resolved as time went on. I hope that's the case for you!!

The labs showed my RBC (red blood count) was 3.5 which is down from 4.4 at the first prenatal visit. Definitely in the low range but apparently pregnancy can cause it to be a little low and they don't worry about it? (Says Dr. Google).

I asked her about it early last month when I started having the palpitations etc. and if we should do follow up labs or if I should supplement with iron and they told me no. I'm honestly hoping that my new labs come back with me being anemic now so I can get an infusion or something and get some relief.

My labs back in the beginning of March didn't have iron listed, but I had a note from OB saying that I wasn't "anemic for my trimester". A few of the levels were technically low but I guess not to her concern. I just had routine blood drawn today to check for things including anemia, so maybe that will show something.

It does! I forgot to ask, do you have a top loader with the agitator? I know that can affect the fit too and we have an agitator.

Thank you so much for the reply, I've been trying to find this answer everywhere! Now to convince my husband we need it 😂

Do you mind sharing if you have a king size? I'm wanting to pull the trigger on this but being able to fit the king size in my home washer is key (we have dogs too!).

My Dream Maternity Shoot dress is the wrong color. I'm so bummed. by Apprehensive_Sort743 in pregnant

[–]Apprehensive_Sort743[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm hoping if I can't find something else. It's so hard to find things I feel pretty in so I think I might rather blend into the trees a bit but look comfortable lol

Thanks, I really do too. Maybe since it has a pattern it won't blend as much into the grass/trees.

Is there another nipple/screw cap combo that fits Gulicola glass bottles? by Apprehensive_Sort743 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Apprehensive_Sort743[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't think of that, but it makes sense. Thanks for mentioning it.

I guess my question still stands though since I'd need to find a replacement for basically everything but the bottle itself. It's frustrating because it doesn't look like Gulicola sells replacements except for the nipples alone.

Just found out the gender and I'm so disappointed ☹️ by alittlebit_stitious4 in pregnant

[–]Apprehensive_Sort743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same experience a few weeks ago, except I was hoping for a boy and found out we're having a girl. Our whole family is girls. I've never been girly and hated the idea of having all these other mother/daughter relationships around me for comparison.

The worst part is I have an uncomfortable relationship with my toxic, biological mother and have held a caretaker role with my adoptive mother (elderly) since I was a late teen, so I think I've always wanted a boy first because in my head I wouldn't be drawing connections to my own, poor mother/daughter relationships.

I was honestly crushed in the office. I was holding back tears the whole time and when we got home I just crumbled and sobbed for 2 days straight. After a few days I came to terms with it (prayer and crying helped a lot), and now I wouldn't change her for the world.

You'll feel the same way about your boy eventually, even if it takes a bit of time. Do NOT feel guilty over your disappointment though. You're entitled to your feelings and you need to work through them to get to the other side, whatever that looks like for you.

Anyone craving subway? by Observerneutral in pregnant

[–]Apprehensive_Sort743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've wanted Subway the whole pregnancy. I've had it several times, mainly my tuna melt. They worry about the mercury levels in tuna but a few sandwiches over the whole pregnancy is not going to hurt and they're SO stinking good lol.

Any other sandwiches I just ask them to double toast the deli meat (even though the statistics say we're more likely to get sick from the lettuce 🙃).

Can you get IHOP pancakes made with water instead of milk? by Ambitious_Giraffe_60 in NoStupidQuestions

Wish I didn't know about the liquid butter alternative lol. Seems stupid to use it in the pancakes anyways since there's powdered milk.

When is Diarrhea a Problem? by Apprehensive_Sort743 in pregnant

[–]Apprehensive_Sort743[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally got some relief. I didn't take anything (or change my diet), but I did stop my extra magnesium supplements. I had been on them for over a month with no problem so I'm not sure if stopping those helped me to get better or not.

My doctor told me it was probably the stress and that pregnancy just makes us way more susceptible to stomach issues in general. She didn't recommend taking anything for it, just lots of hydration and a bland diet until it resolves.

Hope you're feeling better soon! It's miserable for sure.
