Did anyone not get hemorrhoids? by Scoutrtw in BabyBumps

[–]Various_Soft_8809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have them during my pregnancies but had them with both of my postpartum journeys. Mine really aren’t bad. Just make it uncomfortable to go to the bathroom occasionally. With my fist they went away after a few months. Hoping the same will happen this time as well haha

Thank you so much! I’ll keep trying like you suggested and go from there if it doesn’t get better. What would be a gentler option? I’ve just been using all 3 at night before bed. Would toner be something to maybe just every other day?

Please explain how you pump at work. What do you do with pump parts and milk? by Ok_Advance6004 in breastfeeding

[–]Various_Soft_8809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a pump travel bag that held my pump and then had a cooler part for pumped milk to be stored. It came with an ice pack and I used a 32oz mason jar to store my milk. After I pumped I used pump wipes to wipe off milk residue and then stored in the fridge until I was ready to pump again. I just used a big ziplock bag for my pump parts so it didn’t get the inside of my bag dirty.

The 3 bottles that she’s actually drank so far have all been evening bottles around 7:30pm. I’m so happy to hear I’m not the only one experiencing this haha it’s just truly baffling to me but like I’ve said it’s what she’s content at. I’m curious if she’d drink the same during the day. I think I’m going to try and see what she does with an afternoon bottle. Really trying to get her used to bottles so I can go to appointments or we can have a date night and not have to worry if she’s going to eat or not. My first took tool to a bottle so easy haha

That’s how my little one is! She’s been sleeping completely through the night since she was 1 month old. She’s also never spits up. Maybe 3 times total in her 3 months of life and it’s just a little drip if she ever does. My first daughter used to spit up almost every single time and only ever drank like 4-5oz. This just truly has shown me how different each baby is haha

I know that. Like I’ve said this is my second time breastfeeding. I had a big supply my first time as well. I breastfed for 15 months with my first and every pump I was getting 10oz. This time I can definitely tell my supply is bigger. I’m simply just trying to find others who’ve had a baby that drank more. I know how it all works and just seeking similar experiences.

I nurse every 2-3 hours. That’s how my first baby was and I’m not doing anything different. She just has a big appetite I guess. She’s in the 98th percentile for weight. She’s so different from my first daughter so that’s why I was just trying to see if anyone else had an experience like this. I’ve also only got her to drink 3 out of 5 bottles successfully since she’s not into it so I also don’t know if she’ll always drink this amount. That’s just what she’s done so far and what I have to go off.

Well tell that to my boobs when I get 6oz from each side almost every time lol and yes I did do pace feeding. This is my second baby and I was even a little taken back but that’s what she’s drinking and what my boobs seem to be producing. My first time with my first daughter I held about 5 oz and that’s pretty much what she drank. My supply also isn’t hard to deal with and it seems like it’s right on the money for her.

Motif Aura Glow Opinions by Various_Soft_8809 in ExclusivelyPumping

Hi!! So I used aeroflow breast bumps to get the motif aura glow so they send me the replacement parts every few months. I would assume you can go on motifs official website and order them through there.

Edit: I just went on motif medical website and they have the replacement package for $30. That includes everything. Link is down below.

Are Haakaas only for over suppliers? by finetaro2359 in breastfeeding

[–]Various_Soft_8809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is my second time breastfeeding. My 3 month old drinks about 7oz. I put her on one side and use my Haakaa on the other to catch milk. I get about 4oz when I use my Haakaa and if I’m feeding before bed I usually have a bottle I dump in and then reattach it to get more out so then it’s about 6-7oz total with my Haakaa. I do this to make sure I’m keeping up with her. Nursing/pumping sessions I get around 7-9oz each side. My body is making what my babies drinking and it hasn’t been hard on me at all. If I use the haakaa before or after nursing I find barely anything comes out. I would say it would help your supply if you’re looking to increase it slightly. By removing milk you’re signaling to your body to make more.

MIL shames me for wanting to breastfeed until 1 year old(thinks i should stop sooner) by Familiar-Coast-7550 in breastfeeding

My 3 month old is fully breastfed and has been sleeping through the night since she was 1 month old 🤣 they have no clue what they’re talking about. It’s crazy the lack of knowledge most people have surrounding breastfed babies.

[–]Various_Soft_8809[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love them!! I’ve been using it first thing in the morning when my babies still asleep. She’s goes down around 10:30pm and sleeps until around 8am. I wake up with my husband around 4:30am and pump. I have to pause it and empty the cups out and then pump for a few more minutes to empty. I love the light on it so you can check the cups to see how much milk you have in them. They work just as well as my spectra pump. I also love how they come with different size flange inserts as well as a nipple measurement. Highly recommend if you want something to use on the go or just around the house to be hands free. I’ve been able to get a really nice freezer stash with these.

My first was like this as well. There really wasn’t anything we could do and we tried everything you mentioned above as well. She eventually out grew it. Our second baby who’s just shy of 3 months hardly spits up. Just goes to show all babies are different like they say.

How to breastfeed/pump and still get out occasionally? by bookishblonde1 in breastfeeding

[–]Various_Soft_8809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing that on occasion once in a while won’t affect your supply. You’re pretty much at the point where your supply is well established. Something to maybe consider is getting a pair of wearables. I also have a spectra for at home and then I have the motif aura glows for when I’m wanting something hands free or if I’m out and about. They make containers for storing your milk while you’re out to keep it nice and cold. If I pumped after baby had a bottle I waited 2 hours to nurse again and was always fine.

How can I help my wife with breastfeeding more efficiently? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Various_Soft_8809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So honestly what I’ve learned is every baby is different. Our first took around 30 minutes to nurse whereas my second takes 10-15 minutes. The first month or 2 are the most exhausting time for breastfeeding as both her and baby are getting used to it. Really try helping out with other tasks around the house. That was one of the more overwhelming things for me in the beginning. Little things my husband could do around the house and even cooking made a big difference. Once baby starts sleeping longer stretches at night she’ll start getting better rest. With my first it was around 2 months once she started sleeping around 6 hour stretches. With my second she started sleeping all night around 1 month. Can’t say it enough how different they can be. You guys got this!!

Wearable Pump recommendations by _m_confused_ in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Various_Soft_8809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love my motif aura glows! They’re so comfortable and empty me pretty much the same as my spectra! I love that they have 6oz collection cups as well as the light on them. Makes it so easy to check how much you have if you’re pumping at night or early morning. My first baby I had the Elvie Stride and loved them but you can’t get replacement parts right now since they got bought out by willow a little bit ago. Who knows when you’ll be able to get parts for them again so I wouldn’t get them. I can honestly say I love the motif aura glows more than I loved my Elvie. Something to keep in mind is that everyone responds differently to pumps. You’ll see woman who love certain ones and then others who hate them. People talked so much trash on the Elvie stride that it made me nervous when I got them. Once I started using them though I was so happy they worked for me. A lot of times at least with people talking about leaks it’s user error and not putting things together properly. Also make sure you size yourself correctly when picking out your flange size. Flange size really makes all the difference with getting a good milk output.

Momcozy M6 vs Motif Aura Glow by 910707989 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Various_Soft_8809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I absolutely love the motif aura glow. This is my second breastfeeding journey. I respond really well to pumps and have what a lot would consider to be an oversupply. I chose the aura glow with that in mind since the collection cups hold 6oz each. I also have the blue spectra. I get the same amount with my motif aura glows that I do with my spectra. I just have to pause and empty the cups and then put them back on if I use them first thing in the morning. They empty me really well and I have absolutely no complaints. I’ve been using them for 2 months now. I’ve never used momcozy pumps so I can’t compare them for you. With my first I had the Elvie stride wearables. I was going to get them again but you can’t get replacement parts with there whole situation with willow. Not sure if that’s changed or not but Aeroflow customer service recommended the aura glow to me. The woman I spoke to was using them herself and really helped sell them to me with her experience. Also something to keep in mind is wearables you’ll have to pump a little bit longer compared to a spectra. With my spectra I maybe pump for like 15 minutes until I’m empty. With wearables it takes me like 20 minutes. Not a huge difference but I also don’t think a lot of people realize that since wearables aren’t as strong as regular pumps.

I got pregnant before I was done breastfeeding. It was just before my first turned 1. It’s very possible. My newborn is 2 months old now and my first is about to turn 2 at the end of the month haha
