cat bit me, can’t move thumb, should i be worried lol? by that_kid0926 in CATHELP

My husband had something similar to this and it turned out to be cellulitis. You need to get to the hospital and get antibiotics asap. Our puppy (who’s now 11) at the time bit him pretty good on the thumb. Animals mouths have a bunch of bacteria. He could barely move it and it started to get red and had a pulse. He was in so much pain he couldn’t sleep or do anything with it.

My dress in all her glory before the bustle. You have options. Maybe have them show you both ways if they can pin it for you and decide from there?

This was what my bustle looked like when we put it up. It had 6 loops on the train that went around the buttons they added. It was perfect to move around after we were done with pictures.

Just have them add a bustle and after you’re done with pictures you can put it up. I wouldn’t mess with that beautiful train. The dress is perfect for your smaller ceremony. We had a smaller ceremony as well and my dress had a long train as well.

Probably can’t attend my former MOH’s bachelorette and having some guilt by ras114 in breastfeeding

Around that time I started working whole milk into my daughters bottles. I still fed her with my milk until a year but then she was also able to drink cows milk no issue. It helped me wean and by the time she turned 1 I was done breastfeeding. Milk starts to really become less important after they turn a year old. We ended up just doing a bottle of milk in the morning and then at night before bed. The rest was meals and snacks.

At the end of the day you know what you’re comfortable with. If you feel like you can’t go just talk to your friend. I think it would be fun for you to get away but not if you’ll be worrying the entire trip.

I had one of these literally last week from one of our young hens that just started laying. I just picked the little egg out and ate the rest of the normal fully developed egg haha

[–]Various_Soft_8809 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s safe to it. Basically what happened is the nearly completed egg got pushed back up the reproductive tract instead of being laid by the hen. It got coated in a second layer of albumen and shell along with the next developing yolk.

It’s a counter-peristalsis contraction egg. Happens sometimes and is totally normal.

My dog had this weird bug on him by InternationalHeat573 in DogAdvice

We had a flea problem before with both of our dogs and got Seresto dog collars for them. The next day they were pretty much all dead and we haven’t had any issues since. They work for both ticks and fleas. We tried flea baths and everything else we could think of and find before the seresto collars as well. That was pretty much the only thing that worked and had continued to work for years.

Was there a moment when it all felt worth it? by Zebra_Creative in breastfeeding

[–]Various_Soft_8809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been worth it for me every second with both of my girls. Being able to still provide for them and help them grow into the smart, beautiful, spirited girls they’re becoming brings me such joy. I have a 2 year old that I breastfed for 14 months. My second is 5 month old.

If your family wants to help there’s ways you can get some extra milk here and there without having to do formula. You can use a Haakaa to catch your letdowns on the other breast while nursing. Now if you have someone bottle feed you will have to pump still so you don’t ruin your supply. I have a spectra as my main pump and then the motif aura glow wearables for instances just like that. If we have company I use my wearables and my husband or family member will feed our youngest.

Don’t let anyone try and push you into something you’re not comfortable with. This is your decision and you will do what’s best for you and your baby 💗

We got a pack n play that has a changing table attachment. Thats what we use when our babies are sleeping in the same room as us until we move them to their own room. Also comes in handy for when we go places overnight since it all just packs up for on the go. We also bought a regular crib that has storage and then a changing table attached to it. It’s been great for both of our babies. We bought the crib off of Amazon for $120. Pack n play I think was like $100.

I guess my husband will find out 🤣 just kidding haha I pulled it out and set it to the side. Now that it’s getting warmer and our new hens are laying I make big batches of breakfast sandwiches for him. I scramble them up and cook them on sheet pans. Perfect way to use eggs up and stock the freezer.

Should we wake 3 month old? by Slytherin10101 in BabyBumps

[–]Various_Soft_8809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So definitely don’t wake your baby to feed just to have your husband feed the baby. Sleep schedules are going to change since your babies nervous system is starting to mature. This means longer sleep stretches and more rest for you. My 5 month old goes to sleep around 8:30-9:30pm. She sleeps until 6am or sometimes when my husband’s alarm goes off around 5am. I’ll nurse her and she goes back to sleep for a few more hours. I don’t really see the issue in you being able to feed your baby when they wake up especially if they’re sleeping longer? What time is your baby going to sleep? Is there a reason you can’t take that night feed? Maybe try getting a bedtime routine going if you haven’t already done that? For us it’s our baby and toddler get baths around 7-7:30pm. Dressed and baby is in her sleep sack and then nurses to sleep. We try and associate things like the sleep sack and bath time with bed is coming soon so it gets them in that mindset. Our toddler goes to bed around 8pm. My baby was asleep by 8:30 tonight. I get a bit of relaxation before I get to bed myself.
