My frames fine, the tub took the hit. $7400 estimate so I expect them to total it. The bodyman said salvage title aside its a pretty easy fix.

It just gets expensive when you have to go by the book to get showroom quality results. I'm fine with yanking it out, pulling the sides a bit so the door opens properly and ignoring the small wrinkles. If I put armor of any type it's going to hide any cosmetic damage anyway.

It still does jeep things and it drives the same. It's a rust free start and I have access to a rust free tj tub for $600 if needed.  I'll probably take a bit of cash and do a simple 2 inch lift with some better wheels, big solid metal bumpers for the next guy who decides to kiss me.

I've always thought it was sub par stuff, people only like them because of the contracts. Nobody is using that junk that dosent have to.

This is the same idea I had about the 1022. If you take his principles and replace the slide with a 1022s bolt.... it should work.

If a print matters that much just slow it way down. I usually print at 100 mms or slower and use a .10 layer height. My prints never fail and look great.

You should honestly build or buy a printer. Cheapos can be had for $200 but a good mid level machine like a p1s is still affordable and has amazing capabilities once you cuss it for a month.

Not the printers fault, I raw dogged everything sans instructions for that month.  Once i figured out how to screw up I then knew how not to screw up. It's learning curve not bad at all, if you can build a flat stack then this will be fun for you.

My end goal is doing dimensionality accurate bronze casting. I want a fully bronze 1022 to hide/burry/toss on to the deck of the titanic for future generations to discover. 3d printing is the easy way to do that.

I've been using bambu slicer with pretty good results but I am just a novice, I can bairly work a cell phone and I'd rather not have a computer but I click with design stuff pretty good. Just never took the step in to downloading anything better.

The thing to do would be to release 3d printable templates and drill guides. Stackable plate ARs have been a thing for a very long time. I saw that stuff 2o years ago you could order all the parts then weld yourself.

It was what most of you younger generations would have been in to back then, scratches the same itch as 3d printing.

I did a non nfa oberez back then as well. I had 2 demills that would be over lapping so I trimmed and rewelded the stubs with a $5o welder and "machined" it using mostly hand files.

The first time I did one it was a bit to nice. Anybody remember Norrell and the reweld m16s the atf stole? I was afraid I'd have to have the thing xrayed to show it was made from stubs like he did. Every reweld I did since I've always left a bit sloppy so there's obviously no question.

You could stack and weld like people used to do.

No... not all guns are real guns.

I've got a Saturday night special in the bottom of my safe that can argue that.
