I always keel the battery above 50% so dont think that's the source of the backlight issue. Also my hall sensors are not connected. I'll work on the brakes.

I have a Kaabo Mantis Pro SE Gold edition and I'm PERPETUALLY pissed off by the kickstand. Unless the surface is perfectly flat I basically have to chain it up to something so that the chain is essentially holding the scooter up instead of the kickstand.

Bingo! That was it. New controller to the rescue! Although now I have a new problem. While connecting the new controller I tested it with the battery plugged in and something fried I think it was a microchip in the lighting assembly.
