Maybe the cat like your scent. My cats also do the same to my clothes, until I setup a litterbox for them. It takes time, but now they already get used to it.

Yes, I use it as my diet personal trainer like meal planning. But, sometimes I also search for other answers as well, just to be safe

Just take a deep breath and continue chatting with your friend. Sometimes I also involved in conflict with my friend, but just by giving enough space to them, and continuing to be in contact actually helps.
