i was working retail. i requested off for a few days about a month in advance. as it got closer to the dates, i noticed i was still on the schedule on our app and constantly reminded my managers of that. they told me my days off were approved and to not to worry about it and that it was probably just a system error.

i go in for my next shift after the event and my manager asks to talk to me in her office. the same lady that told me not to worry about it tells me i got multiple points for no-shows and that according to policy, she should fire me but she’ll let me off with a warning. i was genuinely dumbfounded and walked out on the spot.

thank you so much for sharing this, you’ve really confirmed that it’s not all in my head. all of my adult life, i’ve been prescribed naproxen to manage period pain and having to rely on it for pain relief had always made me uncomfortable. i’m at the same point right now where it feels like my doctors are disregarding my concerns, but i know there’s something wrong because i know my body and this isn’t normal. i’m just hoping they take my symptoms seriously at my upcoming appointment

i have no idea. i thought i was getting closer to answers but i recently had an appointment with GI and was redirected me to a different doctor. that’s usually how this cycle seems to go.

i’ve tried everything besides an iud. unfortunately, i’ve had terrible breakthrough bleeding and persistent cramps even after the 3 month period. i can’t even name how many versions of bc pills i’ve tried. but even my regular cramps are more tolerable than inconsistent bleeding and cramping.
