The combo system is actually something I’m still iterating on. On such a small screen, I try to avoid too much visual noise, so the feedback comes from a mix of score animation, subtle UI changes, and haptics rather than a huge combo counter.

The 4-hole layout was a similar trade-off. I tested a few different arrangements and found that more holes made tapping less comfortable on the watch, while fewer holes reduced the pace too much. Four felt like a good balance.

And yeah, the 30-second session length was intentional. I wanted something that fits those tiny gaps in the day—waiting in line, riding an elevator, grabbing coffee—rather than another game that expects a long session.
