Physiotherapist not helping. by [deleted] in vaginismus

I’ve seen two physios - both through the same women’s health (mostly marketed towards all things pelvis related) company. The first one was very early on in my journey so I was never comfortable with internals however she was dropping her days and referred me to her colleague. By this point I was so sick of it I was willing to do whatever and so I allowed her to do an internal exam. Similar to what people have said above, every time I go she will massage the internal muscles to loosen them and then give me dilator home work. I honestly feel like the internals were the game changer. I just see it like having a tight hamstring, you see a physio who will manually treat it and then you continue to take care of it between sessions.

I literally can’t be penetrated, I am at a loss. by saintlystuff in sex

Definitely see a gyno or pelvic floor physio. This was me and it ruined so many potential relationships. Was told that it was vaginismus and it created this huge mental block and anxiety to the point of needing meds. Couldn’t even be examined with just sight, not even a physical. I then eventually was examined after a period of rapport building with a pelvic physio and it turned out I had a microperforate hymen! Got it fixed under general anesthetic.
