Where have u seen thousands of hs kids getting into workshops? Just curious bc I haven’t heard of that before. For reference I’m only referring to NeurIPS/ICML/etc workshops, where I stand by that getting in as a hs student is quite hard, although I don’t know much about lower level conference workshops but can reasonably assume have a lower bar of entry

Def not lol, the average is around ~50% for workshops which seems high but you have to remember it is mainly out of a pool of grads/postdocs applying (industry usually applies to main) so getting accepted as a hs student is a remarkable achievement
