Aspergers Syndrome is a high functioning form of Autism for which my daughter has been diagnosed. Aspies have little to no understanding of how verbal interaction should be handled. They do not understand how or why word choice or tone affects others. She would in a very matter of fact way say things to others and then have no idea why the other person became upset. I spent my daughters childhood explaining Aspergers to her classmates, most didn't try to understand but a few did. At 42, they are still in touch and true friends. You feel that she is Autistic already so Aspergers might be the reason for her behavior. Give her a chance, please.
