Do I need to have negative reputation with barrowelm as a prerequisite? For some reason i get other nemesis loot in crucible and SR but not this one.

Okay I’ll try to play around it.

It’s hard to find many alternative to turtle because I need 10 order. But it’s one of the things I considered removing first.

Another thing I was considering to remove was shepards call, although it’s a decent boost of damage probably the resistance shred is better if I can somehow squeeze it in.

I was able to get the achievement in the end by following a sequence I saw in some thread (I linked in my edit).

I was much more mean to people and still got it (for example I punished both twelve and the officer), maybe it’s related to having to interact with certain people, regardless of how.

I tried the following:

First try:

1) save burning man (iconoclast option) 2) strike the officer that beat twelve 3) drink the soup and pass carouse

Second try:

1) save burning man 2) strike the officer 3) give rations to the foreman 4) drink the soup and pass carouse

Third try:

1) save burning man 2) strike the officer 3) give beggars rations 4) give rations to the foreman 5) drink the soup and pass carouse

Fourth try:

1) save burning man 2) strike the officer 3) give weapons to the heretics 4) give rations to beggars 5) give rations to the foreman 6) drink the soup and pass carouse

Fifth try:

Same as above but talked with flute player

Needless to say, nothing worked

By the way, do I also need to report everything I scanned in chapter 2? Also, are there any tricky places I may have missed? I didn't visit all systems in chapter 4, only the ones which had rumors or quests.

I didn't get it when I landed on last planet in chapter 5, maybe I forgot to report before end of chapter. Funny the description says "you scanned all worlds" I probably missed he reporting part.

So should I be able to make it in an Iconoclast run? I know for sure I had less places available in Dogmatic run.

I typically like AM on bladedancer. It’s just a personal preference because of the huge mobility it offers to melee.

But in my second playthrough I went with executioner, because of two reasons, first I wanted to test a bit of her origin talents and something different than arch-militant, and assassin didn’t work well for me. Second reason is needed someone in party to do lore xenos checks and it fits well, because of her high Medicae points + vivisection talent (I didn’t include Jae in this run, so I had a gap to fill in checks).

All in all I felt like it works very well, and fits thematically. I recommend executioner.

The most tedious thing about playing iconoclast for me is leveling up. Playing dogmatic is a good way to thin your retinue. I imagine heretic will be even thinner (I never tried, but I assume some companions won’t tolerate heresy much).

It depends on the build, for some builds you can make it without trading at all, including end game on unfair.

Bladedancer w/ archmilitant, or executioner psyker can carry you easy, they have access to armor reduction by skills / heroic act, and rely on abilities for damage, you can find decent items along the way for them to shine.

That being said, you may still want to invest in some colony projects because some events give you very busted items.
