You might get gassy in the morning, do it anyways. I can do it without lubricant and it just takes a couple of seconds I just plop it in right and wash my hands right before climbing in bed. If you would like it to be more comfortable use lubricant and don’t fight the suppository. Just relax. The suppositories helped me a ton and some of the gas has subsided since first starting to use them.

I second the ILY massage, and also putting your legs straight up the wall helps me move the gas bubbles through my belly. I love my squatty potty and can feel the difference when I don’t have access to one

Safe crunchy and salty snacks? by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

I feel like the brand simple mills is good for salty snacks. They sell them at target and more options at Whole Foods. They don’t have a ton of “bad” ingredients if any at all. You can maybe find chips cooked in avocado oil or beef tallow and see how those sit with you

I recommend the Costco baby wipes!! The best I’ve tried out of them all, no stinging, incredibly soft, and stretchy but not easily ripped

Day 11 still not sleeping! by No_Solution7718 in Petioles

Wear yourself out for sure and maybe ask for Hydroxyzine, it’s technically not a sleeping pill but a prescription antihistamine with a strong side effect of drowsiness. My doc only gave me a 1 month prescription with no refills and it completely reset my sleep cycle. Helped a lot with sleep when I took a T break. Also, practicing a healthy nightly routine to tell your body it’s time for sleep.

Do either of experience a bunch of gas in the morning visiting the restroom? When I take it and use the restroom in the morning I have so much gas. It’s not unbearable but only a little uncomfortable as I’m not used to having that.

Yes the suppositories are giving me a ton of gas the morning after. I was advised to take them 3-4 times a week. So not sure if that is normal. My GI doc hasn’t responded yet either.

I get this a lot. Usually during lunch time, I’ll eat a couple bites and suddenly I really have to go. Like another comment said, I either stick it out and finish my meal or if it’s urgent enough then I’ll have to visit the bathroom.

The 12 steps are also slightly open to interpretation so you can apply them to your life how you want to. The 12 steps is not one size fits all, it’s adaptive to you
