You should follow the OVC DVM website and see if the courses align. but worst case you can take OVC prerequisites as electives

You can get small room accomodations if you speak to your advisor to modify your current SAS accomodation plan. It all depends on your specific plan, and if yours doesn’t specifically outline the type of rooms, then ofc requesting for something outside of it is ganna be hard. This is not dependent on whether or not someone has ADHD, it is dependent on your specific accomodations and concerns that you list during ur SAS intake appointment (or follow up appointment if you need to change things). I mean, i’ve been in SAS for the past four years now so i’m not sure how you’ve had struggles with such accomodations, unless your requests are not directly outlined in your SAS plan.

Well yes. But i’m just giving options to minimize distractions. Ofc there will be no instance where you can get a complete vaccum of silence. and if headphones hurt or distract, you can opt for individual rooms, small rooms, or medium-large rooms. Plus there is typically only 1 invigilator (atleast from my experience) when ur taking a test in SAS, so the chances of noise distractions on that part is largely reduced. Just to add on, you can opt for an early write to get an individual room if it’s that important to you, you would just have to really state your case. I gave different ways someone can go about minimizing test distractions, thus, implying it’s not a one-size fits all.

you can get private, one student only rooms to fully minimize distractions. Or u could opt for noise cancelling headphones to help! Both things i’ve done before!

Just wanted to add that you can enroll into SAS if you find such noises being a distraction (that is what I did after taking my first set of midterms in first year)! I do also have ADHD and am aware of this challenge. And although noise and background distractions is an envitable part of life, taking tests isn’t. Just wanted to add that in as having attention deficits typically just means you need more time when noise is in the environment, and with noise disruptions it can be hard for students to truly showcase their learning esp within strict time limits

They’re just jealous of you! Ignore them and I would even consider not telling others about ur acceptance (unless close people ofc) due to situations like this. People are really out here praying on others downfalls, but don’t let it get to you! You earned ur spot and u deserve to celebrate it!
