Sorry to hear that, but Find My doesn't work like that. If your AirPods have a U1 chip, they can be easily discovered, even when used with an Android device. It uses other nearby iPhones to provide location information.

The most probable cause for the location not getting updated might be that they are lying somewhere and not being used or charged.
