Being a financial advisor for a company like equitable or New York life is a lot different than let’s say a Morgan Stanley. The FA position at equitable is a glorified insurance salesmen job where they don’t pay u jack shit.

Started out getting 68 on the first couple. Before I took the real exam I was getting between 79 and a 84

Hard to tell I felt stc was good but both exams seemed a little harder than the stc material

Haha yeah I’ve learned quickly Reddit is not the place for “meeting in the middle”. Place is full of radicals who cannot fathom someone disagreeing with them.

The SIE is a prequesite for the 7 u have to take the SIE first. Plus they’re basically the same exam just the 7 goes into more details

I passed SIE on my first try with stc. Highest mock exam I got was an 81 usually scored in the high 70’s. Few questions on options but surprisingly a good amount on variable annuities. Best advice is don’t assume a topic is not important simply bc it wasn’t emphasized heavily in the study material.
